Thoughts after rewatching Minny

Well if the wr’s can’t tell the difference between man and zone, or don’t know what to do when they read zone, they need a new WR coach.
We need a new WR coach--only Clifford is good against Zone
Fleming and Wallace don't understand finding soft spots--they just keep running the route as called. It's very frustrating with Fleming considering who coached him at OSU

Because he doesn't trust them--we all get that right?
We saw this early in the year when teams were playing heavy zone against us. He would look like he threw behind someone but they didn't sit in the soft spot. You can't throw someone open who doesn't run consistent or reliable routes. That's why it's heavy Warren and Singleton. Before we even consider the drops.

I wonder if Penn State's wide receiver woes are exacerbated by lack of practice. Can you imagine the Penn State practices? They have a menu of about 50 complicated gadget plays. Each requires tons of practice to run correctly. I bet 75% of practice time is spent on getting the gadget plays down correctly. The other 25% of the practice time is likely spent on normal running and passing plays. Wide receiver development may be taking a back seat to gadget plays.

He has all the tools, but another year if he had the weapons around him would probably do him good. He reminds me a little of a Big Ben with better leadership qualities.

However, I agree with other posters that without those weapons he is better off going pro. After a good combine showing he will not drop below round 2.
He's going to destroy a combine. He'll look elite in shorts

I would like to see Allar throw receivers open more often, and while it is difficult to tell watching the game on TV, sometimes it seems he has missed some open receivers while focusing on Warren.

He has. Look he’s been great but he clearly has things to work on if he wants to return to PSU next year instead of an NFL bench
