ND isn't on that level...not even closeBest teams are O$U, Tex, Ore, ND, Ga, Bama… everyone else is lumped together. Funny thing is Bama and Ga will have play first round up north!
We areWhere’s Lando, who said if we lose 2 games we’re definitely still in.
You can't just recruit kids that "want to be here" in this era. Ask Dabo how that plays out. This whole ordeal is very entertaining.
I believe that projecting quarterback success at the next level, high school to college, college to the pros is very unpredictable, so many variables and unknowns.
I got the Street and Smith college football annual, starting with Penn State's 1982 season when each team got about a 2-3" column and the top senior high schoolers list usually had a few PA QBs, most of which went nowhere at the levels.
I point to the NetFlix series' Last Chance U and QB1....it seems like the logical choice is to be caustious about about any top 5 QB.
The long list that 'seemed destined' for greatness included Dan Kendra and the Notre Dame PA kid Beano Cook touted for a handful of Heisman's.
It goes both ways. My brother-in-law graduated with Joe Montana who supposedly only had basketball scholarships before Notre Dame offered.
Many on this board should remember how Tom Brady played agains our team, while being passed over a few times for other recruits. I neither predicted or was surprised by his resolve or success at the next level.
i go back to Joe's comment after he had been burned with a focus nationally recruiting strategy that they were moving back towards players that wanted to come here.
On the related area, wiht WRs, give me a Parker Washington (wasn't he something like a 3*, but one who came in catching just about anything thrown his way and physical enough to break many tackles for YACs) or a Jordan Norwood (a player with the basketball skills to cut to get open and hands ready to catch the ball after the cut)., and maybe a Greg Garrity type as a walk-on...Even though neither was a top tier prospect, we have nothing close to them currently on the team.
If you think the NCAA actually does that which most don't.Let's remember, UM has only days left to respond to NCAA on violations. They are milking every second. Will Bryce like a 3 year bowl ban?
I played basketball and ran track, so likely. You would likely have known my son as he was the QB around that time. Also played BB and baseball.

Depressing. I wish that there were regional Catholic school playoffs involving PA, NJ, and MD. They would make much more sense.46-7 final.
Free does not impress anyone when they had losing records vs Michigan, OSU and dont forget the annual Iowa loss. When PSU was trailing Toledo 24-0 did anyone care how much the coach was making?
Do you want to do a cost benefit analysis? The team is making MUCH more today.
PS. He didnt work for free.
Best teams are O$U, Tex, Ore, ND, Ga, Bama… everyone else is lumped together. Funny thing is Bama and Ga will have play first round up north!I think ND has hit their stride and are a dangerous team. Thir QB Riley Leonard is playing really well. While their shedule is rather weak they are putting teams away by very wide margins, they have a strong running game with speed at the WR position. Al Golden (DC) has built a solid defense. At this time they have remained healthy.
I doubt Detar goes 127 with Seidel at Districts. You would think he goes 121 post season. I am curious how FCA 121 shakes out?I spoke with Baum - he plans to be at 133. Detar was 125 at the East Stroudsburg open and looked good. I'd peg him at 121, maybe 127.
