Will Howard ALREADY running his pie hole with bulletin board material

Not sure it's really message board material. No one in the PSU locker room or the OSU locker room, cares about who offered Will Howard , except Will Howard. If anything , this should weigh on his mind. After he made the comment and it got traction, he better live up to it and put on a performance or everyone is going to say, and that's why you didn't get an offer. Il

Dog at home against 1 loss team. Difference between elite and good.
That's what half game performances and lack of detail produce.

Psu has yet to play a game for all 4 quarters and we are on game 8.

Gutsy win but the signs of 2 losses are there. Not to be a negative Nancy but the trend is there.
Who are the two lossses? There are no signs of that

I don't agree with the odds. Ohio state's offensive line was very thin before the injuries to the two left tackles. It is very possible that the left tackle for Ohio State will be an open door. That is how Nebraska stayed in the game. If OSU'S QB had had time to throw, I wish you would have easily scored 50 points against Nebraska. As it was, because OSU couldn't run its offense, OSU barely squeaked out a win.
And that's Penn State's path to victory if Allar is out. Hope for a 14-13 type game in which our DL causes chaos all day long.
The line is pretty good--we'll see how it changes. I'm guessing it gets to 6

Football INSTANT REACTION: Jaylen Reed, Beau Pribula save the day against Wisconsin

You are looking at pure passing stats. I am looking at whether he threw to open receivers down field.
I'm not. I actually watch the game on TV and replay every down on Peacock on my time laptop between plays or during commercials to see what the reads should have been. You're dead wrong about him not seeing open receivers. You don't comprehend what you're seeing. I don't know how to say that in a nice way. Allar was almost perfect yesterday.

During the game thread people, maybe you, wrong claimed Warren was open on a couple play that Allar took off on. He wasn't open. Drew made the correct read.

Just like Beau's decision to throw to Clifford and Wallace on both RPOs were the wrong read but worked. It working doesn't make it the right read just like if Drew did miss a read I'd say that. He was almost flawless yesterday and you're claiming it wasn't one of his better games.

Re-watch--give me any time of a game to watch a play when you think he missed a read. I'll be glad to check. I think it's hysterical when people claim watching the game live on TV without going back they saw an open receiver.

Oh if you don't believe me--Allar graded out higher than Beau on PFF. Anyone being honest know Drew was our best QB yesterday. "Not his best" smh

2 losses are certainly possible but we should be favored in every remaining game except OSU.

Do we have the dreaded 'quarterback controversy'?

To be honest, I find it almost sad that people feel genuinely surprised that Beau came in and played well in the second half last night.
His performance was pretty much what I expected. PSU shifted to his package of plays and he took care of business.
My thinking at halftime was PSU needed to get to 17 points, a number I felt may be enough to win but should at least get the game to OT. Wisconsin, in my mind, wasn’t a very good football team. PSU was a dropped pass and a botched QB sneak away from having the game under solid control. And this season’s history of solid halftime defensive adjustments gave me confidence the Wisky offense would do little the second half. And when PSU got the quick pick-six, it lifted a ton of weight off the offense. It was just a matter of time before PSU took the game under control.
As of this afternoon, I’m not very optimistic about a victory over Ohio State. (I hope I’m embarrassingly wrong!) The Bucknuts will be far and away better than anyone PSU has played to date with the speed factor that will give Penn State trouble.
OSU will also be well prepared for the Beau package and will limit him as a running threat.
PSU’s defense is going to have to play a far better first half than typical, and PSU made need a couple breaks along the way. Coming from behind in the second half with a healthy Allar would be a lot to ask. Trying to do that with a backup QB will be next to impossible.

No one is mentioning

Question: After DDS gets hurt and is out.... In the second half, PSU changed up their defense front and seemed to get more pressure... 50 & 92 come to mind. Can someone explain the exact changes... was it just personnel or formation. I noticed Carter moved around but was in the LB position in different locations.
Absolutely. I've been frustrated that PSU needs Reed to come up to the LOS to help stop the run. That might work against weaker teams but OSU is more likely to take advantage of the secondary. In the second half Ford & Vilbert really stepped it up. The question is if they took advantage of Wisconsin being worn down or if they are as good or better than Thomas & Sutton.

After OSU I don’t see a team that is even close to PSU with or without Allar.
