Thoughts after watching the replay

To your point about the defense, I think that is going to be what trips us up vs OSU. Btw I believe we beat Wisky. Back to OSU, they are so good and their offense is lethal. I think it simply comes down to them being able to put up somewhere around 30 or 35 on us (they had around that vs Oregon) and we won't be able to match that on offense. We put up 30 vs USC in regulation and their defense is a far cry from OSU's. We would have to be just about flawless on offense to have a good shot. That means TDs and no FGs in the red zone. No interceptions, no drops and very few penalties if any. I don't see that happening.

On defense I see Egbuka and Smith having an absolute field day on us and their RBs also having good days. We will get some stops but all in all they will have their way with our D.
Agree. PSU will have to be fortunate for a victory. Need to force some turnovers and somehow limit Smith and Egbuka and keep their outstanding RBs from explosive runs.
On offense, PSU has to have sustained drives that all end with points.
Easily the most challenging game of the year from what their offense can produce.
The fans HAVE TO bring noise that causes disruptions for the OSU offense.

As fans we can talk about the OSU game but for the team it's Wisconsin, Wisconsin, Wisconsin.

Why Wisconsin terrifies me (trap game)

Wisconsin's only two losses were to Alabama and USC. They dominated Rutgers & Purdue. It's a night game in Madison so the fans should be riled up.

ESPN gives us a 72% chance to win. That sounds about right.
That same ESPN projection had USC favored to beat PSU by 52%, which was pretty close, so a 72% chance to win the Wisconsin game actually should be good news considering that it's a road night game in a tough environment.

Kamala’s newest lie: Trump will send the army after you

THE ARMY IS COMING FOR YOU IF TRUMP WINS!!

lmfao

https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/4934783-vice-president-kamala-harris-lies/

Before we get to the latest whopper, it’s important to acknowledge how lies flourish. They need fertile media ground in which to grow.

If you consume progressive corporate media or roll in left-wing activist circles, you may notice that you’re seeing less and less of Trump, or at least hearing less of him in his own words. At best, they run B-roll of Trump rallies while left-wing pundits describe the events.

You’re much more likely to hear a cast member of “Morning Joe” paraphrase the “very fine people on both sides” hoax about Charlottesville, for example, than you are to see the actual clip of what he said. To show it would lead to questions related to truth and honesty that the Democratic Party establishment cannot answer.

There’s a reason MSNBC does not play more than a few seconds of any given Donald Trump speech or interview. It’s not that they’re so very concerned about their “journalistic integrity,” as people like Rachel Maddow would have you believe. It has to do with context and manipulation, since without the proper or complete context, anything can be manipulated. Left-wing hosts would rather tell you the gist of what Trump said than show you, because showing people might lead to questions of context or why they cut the clip so short.

To play the clips of Trump talking about Charlottesville could lead viewers into discovering how Trump said, “And I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.” Once that lie is uncovered, the whole gig is up.

So now we have another lie: the “enemy within” lie. This is a 33-second clip of an interview Trump did with Maria Bartiromo. It started circulating Monday in left-wing circles with the claim that, were he reelected, he would consider using the military against his political opponents.

Sounds terrifying, doesn’t it? Democrats inside and outside of media pretended to be horrified and ran with it, because it was too good to ignore.

But there was a problem, and I’m not just talking about the fact that the current Democratic president has made allusions to using fighter jets against American civilians, and that Democratic members of Congress have even discussed using nuclear weapons.

I’m talking about this: What they show is less than half of a clip where the context is crystal clear. Trump was asked about Election Day violence, which Democrats are warning about. He raised the issue of the violent left-wing antifa rioters who have been involved in frequent violence and property destruction ever since the Black Lives Matter riots. Whether they are intimidating Jewish students on college campuses or setting buildings on fire, the usual leftist suspects reliably show up, masks up and unshowered, ready to take out their suppressed childhood disappointments on people simply trying to go about their lives.

Why Wisconsin terrifies me (trap game)

The afterglow of Saturday is finally fading a bit, and like most of you, I'm analyzing our chances after the bye and beyond. And history tells us to be afraid of PSU's performance in this very position.

2017--Lose heartbreaker in Columbus. Hardly drop in the polls, but we go to a less talented #24 MSU team the next week, endure an ungodly storm delay, and fritter the game away. Most talented Franklin team wasted.

2018--Lose heartbreaker to OSU in Happy Valley. Get a bye. Come out flat after a bye week against unranked MSU team and lose again. No more top 10 ranking that season for us...

2019--8-0 and ranked #3 in the country. Coming off bye week, we travel to #17 Minnesota and lay an egg.

2021--start a solid 5-0 and ranked #4. Travel to #3 Iowa and lose a heartbreaker. Bye week...and come home and lose the worst game in PSU history, 9OT against a terrible Illinois team.

Three AWFUL performances that wasted our potential for the season coming right after a bye week...and all four seasons saw us lose to teams we should have beaten. I hope Franklin has learned from these trials and is determined to keep his players sharp physically and mentally because this road game to Wisconsin is by far our biggest TRAP game of the season
Terrifies seems like a slight overreaction
These aren't games Franklin loses currently. The past 2 years and so far this year we've won every game we should have including the trap games
Wisconsin isn't very good. They're likely a 7 or 8 win team that could hang with us for a while but aren't talented or deep enough to beat us even if we play our C game

I don't understand why this isn't always an option. Take the NBA. In no case should a foul be done on purpose. Give the team that was fouled the option to keep the possession instead of having to shoot free throws.

God forbid a rule interpretation doesn't go in Ohio State's favor. If not, said rule must be changed immediately. But when calls were going against PSU in the B1G for YEARS, it took JoePa bitching for multiple seasons for college football to implement instant replay.

Concerned that Oregon went against the spirit of the game. Not sure what they can do.

Weird because it seems like OSU basically gets a free hail Mary play for 5 seconds of time.
