Teams like Alabama this year do not deserve to be in playoffs. They are basically 5-3 if you take away their powerhouse wins over Mercer, western Kentucky and south Florida. They are not a top 12 team and it’s not even close.
I mean, they're obviously close
People keep saying "X isn't a top 12/playoff team" but then when they talk about playoff teams they can't get to 12 using any criteria.
Is Indiana at 10-1 more impressive than Bama at 8-3. Maybe--maybe not. I think Bama Ole Miss and South Carolina are all still alive. South Carolina still playing Clemson might actually see them as the team that sneaks in despite losing to Bama and Ole Miss--they don't have a real bad loss (LSU?)

- Penn State will also be without DT Alonzo Ford whose out with a long-term injury. Terrible for Ford after missing all of last season with an injury as well
- Franklin thinks Rucci has been playing well. They'll have JB Nelson's role increase as well going forward. Nelson has been dealing with some lingering injuries. Expect increased roles from Cousins, Williams, and Boyer.
- Believes SIngleton is getting close to 100% and that Penn State needs him to get there.
Franklin was asked about the potential of playing in the Big Ten title game.
Acknowledged that it's a possibility but is focusing on Maryland right now. Has a lot of respect for the Terps and is excited about the opportunities potentially afterward but is focused on Maryland right now.
Very few wr screens as well. I also don’t understand why they don’t use Evans more. He seems to be a legit deep threat. I would like to see what he could do on a quick slant or skinny post after the catch.
He has all the tools, but another year if he had the weapons around him would probably do him good. He reminds me a little of a Big Ben with better leadership qualities.
However, I agree with other posters that without those weapons he is better off going pro. After a good combine showing he will not drop below round 2.
