Why do any of that when you can be the righteous voice of reason instead? So what is your point? What do you think wrestling fans should be more interested in and discussing on a wrestling forum?
Pointing out facts such as age difference, and the different weights where the wrestlers have achieved success in the past is totally relevant in analyzing why David Taylor was dominated. So is the fact that David Taylor is the head coach of OSU and may not be 100% dedicated to training. There is absolutely nothing wrong with fans discussing why they think a loss occurred, even if the reason can be labeled as an "excuse." The only people who should not be allowed to make such observations are those who state and believe that "excuses are for wusses." I, for one, as a fan believe it is totally appropriate to discuss how injuries, failure to properly train, or decline in skills due to age may have effected an athlete's performance.
I haven't seen anyone saying David Taylor should have won that match. It was clear who the better wrestler was. I just don't understand what you think people should be interested in talking about.
They were criticized for not having any sacks against Oregon, and turned that around against nebraska. I don't care who you're playing if you have 13 tackles for a loss it is a good game for the defense.Would that be the great defensive performance against a team that scored a whopping 7 points against Indiana? I’m sure that the best college football team money can buy will bring their A game Saturday against Penn State but come on man.

JT Tumalaoa has been above average but has generally not lived up to the hype at defensive end although he had a tackle for a loss last week. Sawyer has been consistently good and will probably be a late first round draft pick. The two interior defensive lineman are very good and strong. Over the last year and a half the linebackers have been only average but Cody Simon had a breakout game against Nebraska and had numerous tackles for a loss. Arvill Reese is the third linebacker and is viewed as a potential star once he starts starting. Denzel Burke looked terrible against Oregon but had a real good game against Nebraska going against slower receivers. The game against Nebraska was probably the best game the defense has played in a year and a half. The DBs are generally very good.
If your starting tackle is injured and doesn't play, this could be a mirror game where both defenses shred the offensive line of the opposing team.
Tell your son to tell him that whining about not getting a scholarship to PSU is not a good look. While I want PSU to win, I don't wish anything bad for Howard. He's actually a friend of my son's. I don't personally know him, but my son knows him well.
Be a cool fan chant : Tyler ................................................Warren !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sung to the pseudo limerick WE ARE ....... PENN STATE!)Tyler Warren will be Beau's best friend on Saturday along with Singleton out of the backfield.
So the answer as I suspected is no.Not that I recall. It is amazing that there are so many who believe the B1G is fixed. If the conference wanted to fix games thru the officials they would not do it by blowing a call like the Nebraska 1st down run. They would probably do it by missing/not missing holding and PI calls. These are much more nebulous and easier to hide or deny. Some degree of holding probably happens on most plays.
They do fix games by NOT calling offensive holding and defensive pass interference. That's the easiest way to control a game. Watch the big 10 plus 8 and you see it all the time. Not that I recall. Has a B1G officiating crew ever apologized to the OSU football team for blatantly blowing a call against an opponent not named Michigan since PSU has joined the conference?
I cannot recall a single circumstance but maybe your memory of such events is similar to PSU fans and you will be able to rattle them off of the top of your head along with the consequence/outcome of the respective football game(s).
