We ended up in 312 (corner end zone) Row 1. The seats were the weirdest I ever sat in. Your legs dangled in front of you and there was no railing in front. People walked right in front of you.

Thankfully, we only paid $30 per seat. I actually paid more for two beers 🤣

Day of the game, I almost bought another set for $82 each. 200 level at the 40 yard line under the press box. Even if I paid $112 for those seats it would have been a steal. I was shocked at how low ticket prices got for this game.

Failure of Public Education

I'm re-watching Band of Brothers and thinking about Major Winters and all that he mattered to the allied effort. Then I think about how he lived within 30 minutes of pretty much every school in Lancaster County but also that he never once came to school and relayed his heroic experiences in WWII. Each and every kid should have been giving the honor to shake his hand and hear his thoughts on life and what it means to be an American.

I'm not totally to blame though, he passed away when I was 31 so I had plenty of time as an adult to reach out and see if he would be willing to talk.

What iconic figures should be speaking to school children now? Buzz Aldren? Captain Sully? Tammy Duckworth? Kids need to be taught about being humble and being able to count on the people around you. Americans need to get together and that will happen when we realize we're on the same team.

ESPN Top 25 College Football Players -- Mid-Season Edition

So, you replied to a post, but you didn't have anything to say about the post ... you just wanted to shout out a general "here's another person/entity who should get off my lawn" post. OK.

Oh, and FYI ... the most productive TE in the nation (6th in the nation in receiving yards) was #23 on the list ... so why would Warren make it when he's 33rd in the nation in receiving yards?

Also FYI ... 9 SEC players made the top 25. 8 Big 10 players made that list. Not exactly evidence of a huge bias in this list ... so why bring it up?

Whoa, subtherapeutic much? 😂

I am a tiny bit surprised that PSU flew back after the game. I had to laugh that CJF said that the plane will look like the movie "Soul Plane" and nobody had a clue what he was talking about. Regardless, if they were wheels up at 6pm, that is at least a 4 hour flight with 3 times zones. So a 6pm departure would be a 1am landing.
Teams almost always fly out, regardless of the time. Most NFL teams still fly out even after those late games that end around 11 eastern.

Thoughts after watching the replay

I think Allen will have an easier time scheming against OSU. At least this is a familiar opponent and opposing coach for Allen and the rest of the PSU staff. USC was not.
Bingo!

Illinois was the only team thus far who our new DC coached against, so we may see significant improvement for the rest of the season, and the bye week came at possibly the best possible time.

Why Wisconsin terrifies me (trap game)

The consensus seems to be Wisconsin can pose problems for us--where exactly?
They aren't good running the ball or throwing the ball--their defense is at best mid
Defensively?
Is the concern just because it's a road game?
I think their run game is pretty good but just basing that off the Rutgers game. I think they took advantage of Rutgers injuries so it may not be that good.

We just need to play a solid game and we should be fine. Don"t get behind, play good defense from the outset, no turnovers. Hopefully Singleton is more healthy. Let Warren do what Warren does.

Why Wisconsin terrifies me (trap game)

As long as we pass to set up the run no one on our schedule can stop us. We get in trouble when we act as if our O-line is great instead of good and run when the opponent has loaded the box. Our weakness is still 3rd and long, if we stay out of that down and distance we can score abundantly in all remaining games with the possible exception of Ohio State.
Wisconsin gives up 5.23 yards per play, which is a pretty big # (we are at 4.51 yards for comparison), and only has 10 sacks for the season (compared to our 14), and 3 interceptions (compared to our 5).

Our offense averages 7.21 yards per play, which is a pretty big # (Wisconsin is at 5.91 yards per play).

Road game or not, they would have to play their A+++ game, with a 2nd string QB, and we would also have to play a B or even C game, for them to overcome the trends, barring anything whacky (i.e. a critical injury, multiple bizarre turnovers).

And something that we all seem to be failing to recognize is that our Defensive Coordinator knows all of our upcoming opponents well, which has only been the case once this season.
