FB Recruiting Penn State standing out to 2026 OL Adam Guthrie after debut visit

“I guarantee I will be making a return back to State College.”

Class of 2026 OL Adam Guthrie made his debut visit to Penn State this week to take in a spring practice.

He recaps the visit here:

RIP, Steelers Legend, Andy Russel age 82

He was an early member of Pittsburgh's famed Steel Curtain defense, and was named the Steelers' MVP in 1971. He made seven Pro Bowl appearances—in 1969 and from 1971 through 1976—and earned two Super Bowl rings in Super Bowl IX and Super Bowl X. On December 27, 1975, he set the NFL playoff record for a returned touchdown–93 yards in a Three Rivers Stadium victory over the Baltimore Colts. Some have claimed it as the longest football play from scrimmage in time duration.[3] In 2011, the Professional Football Researchers Association named Russell to the PFRA Hall of Very Good Class of 2011.

Does BTN ever have a wrestling feature about PSU?

Tonight, BTN is showing another wrestling feature about two former Iowa wrestlers who both are from PA (Spencer Lee is one). In the past, there’s been a feature on the Brand brothers, and at least one other one that I’ve seen about an Iowa wrestler.

I ask this because PSU has so throughly surpassed Iowa under Sanderson, but seems not to get any publicity on BTN like Iowa’s program does, which isn’t as dominant as it used to be.

Hiding the ball on the West Side demolition

I am sure many who logged into Seat Selection noticed that the entire West Side is locked down. There are seats available in literally every other non-student section of Beaver Stadium but you cannot move or buy extra seats within any "W" section. I called the Customer "Relations" department of the NLC and they denied this was due to the planned demolition after this season and claim the West side is just sold out. Not possible. Their silence on what's going to happen for the 2025 season and now this outright misinformation is further evidence that it's going to be a total cluster. Buckle up...

Interesting stat....could bode well for Allar

In his first game against Ohio State in Columbus Kerry Collins - all-time PSU great - was 13-39-0-4. Four interceptions and no TDs! In a 24-6 loss.

Flash forward a year and Collins was 19-23-2-0 for 265 yards in a 63-14 win.

Allar's stats weren't great in his first trip to Columbus, but somewhat better and no interceptions: 18-42-1-0.

Can he make a similar leap this year?
