I think I know where the left went wrong.

They just needed to add just a little more condescension to their preaching. I think that would have given anyone associated with one of the worst administrations in US history enough to push them over the line. Just a bit more condescension. Lefties, take this advice seriously into the next election cycle.

As a second piece of advice, don't EVER believe that it is policy that moves the American voter. Stick to your guns. It's all misogyny, racism, sexism, lack of a college degree, transphobia, disrespect for the infinite number of genders, fascism, authoritarianism, white privilege, white nationalism, ... You've got this. Just keep hitting those points. You'll convince the neanderthal.

Iowa vs PSU after Oregon State match

I would like to begin by saying that this Iowa team seems pretty good for Iowa. It appears to be one of the favorites for a trophy. That having been said Iowa vs PSU is an 8-2 win for the good guys. Lets look and I will try to spare the commentary.
125- Luke gets bonus points over whomever
133 Ayala gets one of two maybe one of Iowa's wins here. Our 133 bench has not proven to be there yet. I love both of our guys at this weight but like I said.
141- BB bonuses Ryder Block who looked non AA in his first match out.
149- I am a Cali wrestlers dad so the Parco's of the world get my respect and affection. And BB-SVN-Kasak have all beaten him and he is yet to beat PSU. No bonus for the good guys
157- Kasak and Alec can win here but... Iowa is the favorite no bonus
165- Caliendo is Iowa's best wrestler but until proven otherwise PSU gets bonus points here
174- Nelson Brands...sigh. How far the mighty have fallen. Levi performs a human sacrifice. Bonus points PSU
184- A healthy Carter gets a nice stretch here (nor flies on Gabe just lets get real) Bonus points good guys
197- Josh Barr gets the room edge in a tight bout no bonus points (or not hence the 8-2 hedge at the beginning)
HWT- A healthy Greg bonuses a game Hawkeye
PSU can break its own record this year with this team and this competition

A few "things"

random thoughts in no particular order

  • male vote killed Harris. MSDNC and CNN are trying to blame the loss on misogyny. great, keep believing that. Fact is, she was a horrible candidate that tried to prop up her husband (who got the nanny preggers and beat up a GF) and Walz (who is a closet gay guy) as the future for men in the USA. Even white females voted pro-trump. That tells me a) the abortion vote is flattening and b) women favored the economy, wars and crime far more than abortion rights. Fail!
  • Trump comes in as a lame duck president with a mandate who controls house, senate, and executive branch. But he is so unique. Nobody can be trump when trump can't run. My point here is that republicans will begin to abandon Trump in 2026 with a full retreat in 27 leading up to the 28 election. Trump has a year or two to make hay. Don't waste it like he did in 2017.
  • GOP has a great candidate, perhaps two, in 2028 with Vance and Vivek.
  • On the Dem side, the whole thing has been blown up. The Obama/Pelosi era is over. They've got some good, young candidates like Shapiro (if the USA will elect a Jew) and Wes Moore (Gov of MD). but they need an open field with no thumbs on the scale. This is actually against the Dem culture and way. They get used to ruling the roost in big cities and that is how they think. It will be interesting to see if they can adjust.
  • Hats off to both Reince Priebus (who gave us Trump) and Laura Trump who ran a flawless campaign given her candidate's penchant for going off script. Remember, they fired the previous chair on the GOP and hired Trump. She is Eric Trump's wife. Eric, IMHO, is the least impressive Trump child but married well.
  • The DNC needs to be honest with themselves. So far, I am seeing them calling the voters racist and misogynist. Rev Al can't help himself. It is his move. And if that move is taken away, Rev Al will no longer have relevance. There were people that didn't vote for Harris because she's a woman but there were also people who voted for her because she is a woman. And the USA voted in a black man with huge victory margins so it isn't race. There has to be a policy reconning but it will take some time for them to get through the stages of guilt and come up with new policy.
  • Another big loser is the Lincoln Project and the Never-Trumpers. Damn. Just go away. they probably will.
  • CIA, FBI, and Dept of Education are all in trouble. I wouldn't be shocked to see another attempt in Trump's life (or more). But JD was, probably, the best of the four in terms of being presidential so there's that.
  • RFK Jr. having a role in healthcare will be HUGE for the USA and our "drug first" culture. I honestly can't wait. I think the guy is a flake, in many ways, but we need a complete revival in how we address health and healthcare.
  • Damn, wish I'd bought some crypto
  • Musk will be worth $200B by the end of the year. X was a masterclass and saved the First Amendment. The EU's efforts to kill free speech are ****ed. We'll be launching a trip to Mars before Trump is out of office (assuming he doesn't die or go all Biden before 2029). it will be great to see his influence on business, crypto, AI, EVs, public transportation, and medical/tech.
  • I am willing to bet that Pink, Cardi-B, Cher, John Legend, DeNiro, Rob Reiner...etc...don't leave the country.
  • The MSM is either in for a full blown reset or dead on arrival. Nobody listened to them, nobody cared. WaPo is probably thankful they didn't endorse and knows Bezos was correct. Wait, they are so full of themselves, they probably blame Bezos for Trump winning since they couldn't control the voters.
  • with great power comes great responsibility. GOP has to be smart and govern with humility yet strength. They cannot over reach the way the DNC did with Biden as POTUS. I don't think we've seen house, senate, POTUS and SCOTUS all controlled by one party in my lifetime.
  • Shout out to Scott Presler for keeping PA in it to win it despite having dem supreme, gov and two senators in PA>

Lastly, thank God it was a clean win with both Electoral Votes and popular vote. That gives the Dems no place to go but to look inside themselves.

Mark Halperin suggesting MSM will lose seats at White House press briefings

He suggests the new media will get seats. He also says that the Biden press corp was as vindictive as he's ever seen.

Haperin, you may recall, was a big left wing talking head until he got "me too-ed". He's been a great follow in X as he was one of the few that called it as he saw it, even if he disagreed with it.

But to his point, the MSM is clearly less influential and was not level in covering Biden/Harris/Trump. You only have so many seats. So it is time to make serious adjustments.

Illinois governor on Trump win: ‘You come for my people, you come through me’

LOL... Fat Boy acting tough....

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4979284-illinois-governor-jb-pritzker-on-trump-win/

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) held a press conference Thursday to discuss the aftermath of the election, issuing a warning that if anyone tries to “come for my people,” they will have to “come through me.”

“People have often said that I’m a happy warrior, and I’ve always taken seriously my role as a happy warrior on behalf of this state. Even today, when I’m struggling with many of the difficult questions this election poses, my optimism for the future remains undiminished,” Pritzker said.

“To anyone who intends to come take away the freedom and opportunity and dignity of Illinoisans: I would remind you that a happy warrior is still a warrior,” he continued. “You come for my people, you come through me.”

The governor noted that in his state, he will continue working to protect all people, no matter what a second Trump term looks like.

“Perhaps this time may be different. But if it isn’t, Illinois will remain a place of stability and competent governance,” Pritzker said.

He thanked the election workers and people in his state who voted. The governor also shared a similar sentiment to Vice President Harris
in her concession speech, that change may take a bit longer than people had hoped.
