The afterglow of Saturday is finally fading a bit, and like most of you, I'm analyzing our chances after the bye and beyond. And history tells us to be afraid of PSU's performance in this very position.

2017--Lose heartbreaker in Columbus. Hardly drop in the polls, but we go to a less talented #24 MSU team the next week, endure an ungodly storm delay, and fritter the game away. Most talented Franklin team wasted.

2018--Lose heartbreaker to OSU in Happy Valley. Get a bye. Come out flat after a bye week against unranked MSU team and lose again. No more top 10 ranking that season for us...

2019--8-0 and ranked #3 in the country. Coming off bye week, we travel to #17 Minnesota and lay an egg.

2021--start a solid 5-0 and ranked #4. Travel to #3 Iowa and lose a heartbreaker. Bye week...and come home and lose the worst game in PSU history, 9OT against a terrible Illinois team.

Three AWFUL performances that wasted our potential for the season coming right after a bye week...and all four seasons saw us lose to teams we should have beaten. I hope Franklin has learned from these trials and is determined to keep his players sharp physically and mentally because this road game to Wisconsin is by far our biggest TRAP game of the season

Virginia @ #10 Clemson - VA is 22 pt dogs but we can hope
#24 Michigan at #22 Illinois - Go Illini
#7 Alabama @ #11 Tennessee - Go Vols but I doubt it will impact PSU
#12 ND @ Ga Tech - Go Rambling Wreck
#14 A&M @ Miss State - Not much chance
#8 LSU @ Arkansas - Razorbacks have a chance here
UCF @ #9 Iowa State - UCF is bad
#17 Kansas State @ WVa - Go Mountaineers
#5 GA & #1 Texas - I hope Texas wins but it won't impact PSU

See Link Above. Had Landon do something for us on the BYE while we put Codutti on the shelf - ID the reasons why Penn State's 2024 rushing game is on pace to be the most productive on a per game basis and most explosive of the James Franklin era.

Kin Mack transferred from PSU to Alabama. There was a change of possession to Tennessee and Alabama had right to sub which referee failed to allow defense to sub as required so when Mack tried to come on the field as a sub, the referees tried to stop them, so his Alabama coach told him to fall down like hecwas injured. It was hilarious but the refs made a mistake and then penalized Alabama for illegal substitution.
Refs messed up.

Tribute to Red Grange era.

So far 5-0. Scored 243 points(if my maths are right!) and the opposition has only scored 6. And that six was on a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown!
