PSU will never see a national title again

An 8 million dollar NIL deal for a 5* recruit ? College football as I knew it is over.

Basketball Report: Former PSU Hoops HC Pat Chambers leading candidate for Florida Gulf Coast job

After spending this past season as a volunteer assistant at LaSalle, former Penn State head coach Pat Chambers is reportedly in good position to grab his next head-coaching gig. ESPN's Jeff Borzello reported yesterday that Chambers is a "primary candidate" at Florida Gulf Coast.

Chambers resigned from his post as Penn State's head coach in October 2020. The university had launched an internal investigation regarding him and his program after he had admitted to referncing a "noose" around former guard Rasir Bolton's neck. Bolton later transferred to Iowa State, citing the exchange.

Giving Hoops Some Love

Not nearly enough chatter about PSU hoops on this board. I think the Nits have a decent shot to win their first two in the B10 tourney. Minny then O$U. Then who knows as we would then play Purdue who is definitely beatable. We just cannot win the close games but perhaps our luck changes this week. Regardless of what happens this week I am excited about where Coach Shrews has the program headed. Recruiting is better than ever. Would love to be dancing next March.

Anybody watching "The Secrets of Playboy?"

really disturbing allegations made about playboy enterprises from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Several stories of statutory rape for 13~17 year old girls. Fairly common to get photos and releases for 17-year-olds and then wait until they are 18 before publishing. Several stories that Heff filmed women while drunk/high in orgies and then use it as leverage to keep them in line. Also several stars (director John Huston, Jack Nicholson, Cosby, Polanski, Jim Brown, etc.).

On the other hand, several employee "witnesses" discussing their experiences but one has to wonder where the F they were when coked out 18 year olds were being filmed having orgies. So one has to wonder how much of it is women that knowingly leveraged their looks and are now calling it out after they've been used up.

Place Your Bets — A Wrestling for Life Fundraiser

We can be assured there will be ugliness on the boards over the next several days as the big PSU vs Iowa dual comes and goes. But we can also do some good with our fanaticism and prognostications . . .

Wresting for Life could use our dollars, and it is a great cause. If you like putting your money where your mouth is and would like to do so on predicted outcomes in the PSU vs Iowa dual, let’s try doing so here with proceeds going to Wrestling for Life.

We can be rivals and work together at the same time.

Wrestling Officially Official 2022 Big Ten Tournament Thread

The Big Ten Tournament starts tomorrow in Lincoln and because I, an idiot, made a commitment to take my girlfriend to Philly for the weekend I’ll be in and out of the board throughout.

Since some on the board have a man-crush on @jmadden1998 I figured I would post some stats from here and the cesspool:

My take. He likes us better than the cesspool. We like him more than the cesspool likes him.
Can someone just buy this kid a few blue and white shirts and put an end to this?

And don't worry guys...my reaction ratio is 2.9869:1. I will not lose to a hawk. Ever.

Barry Fenchak running for the Penn State Board of Trustees

Note from Barry:

"Each year, Penn Staters can elect three alumni to serve on the Penn State Board of Trustees. It is important that we have proper representation and a voice in the governance of Penn State.

Barry Fenchak is running for a seat on the Board. Barry would provide a strong voice for responsible governance at Penn State.

The elections consist of two phases - the nomination phase which runs from January 15th through February 25th, and the general election which will take place later in the spring. Barry needs the nominations of 250 Penn Staters to be on the ballot in the spring.

If you are an alumnus who has voted in previous elections, you should receive a nominating ballot in your e-mail on January 15th. Please enter "Barry J Fenchak, Class of 1984 Engineering" on your ballot.

If you are not familiar with the process, or have not voted in previous elections, you need to request your nominating ballot from Pen State. You can find a link to request your ballot here: 2022 Alumni Trustee Nomination Ballot Request (http://office.com).

You do have to be an alumni to cast a ballot - but if you are not, you can make an impact by forwarding this message to any alumni among your family and friends. Since Penn State does little to publicize the elections, they probably are not aware of the process of how to vote, or who to vote for. Thanks.

Also, Barry's website can be found at http://barryfenchak4trustee.com. There is a lot of good information there.

I’m Barry Fenchak, and I need your help. To be listed on the April 2022 Penn State Alumni Trustee ballot, I need 250 nominations from Penn State alumni.

Nominations will run January 15th to February 25th. On January 15th alumni will receive nominating ballots by email. Please nominate me, Barry J Fenchak, 1984 Engineering. If you are expecting a nomination ballot email and don’t receive one, please click here or call the Penn State Trustee office at (814) 865-2521. I appreciate your support."

Basketball Penn State men's basketball blows out Minnesota behind Pickett's 20

Everything went right for Penn State and not much went right for Minnesota in their Thursday matinee showdown. Penn State topped the Golden Gophers in dominant fashion after losing 76-70 just five days ago. Backed by Jalen Pickett's 20 points (15 in the second half), the Nittany Lions cruised to victory.

Game recap here:

Basketball Tom Izzo lauds PSU Hoops' Micah Shrewsberry, John Harrar after upset win

Micah Shrewsberry grew up watching Big Ten basketball. He credited Tom Izzo and Michigan State for building the blueprint for winning in the conference. Shrewsberry and Penn State topped No. 19 Michigan State for Shrewsberry's first ranked win. Afterward, Izzo told Shrewsberry he was proud of him.

More on what that meant to the first-year head coach, and Izzo also complimented John Harrar after his big night. Check out the story:

Chris Simms Unblinkingly Calling Jim Harbaugh a Jerk and an idiot

Beginning at about 1:58 Simms gives his unvarnished opinion of Harbaugh. Among other things when he went to Michigan, he didn't even bother to tell his coaches a San Francisco that he had left until the very end of the process. Gave no assistance or support to his assistant coaches at San Fran. Cut off an interview for a petty reason. Thinks there is no real interest in NFL with respect to Harbaugh -- thinks Harbaugh himself is planting the rumors. Let's hope Michigan is stuck with this jerk. https://www.sportscasting.com/chris...2IkWFUhSLwcD64Tj8yJxq0uPMdE7Tue_C0eFWuaKKqU9A
