Initially, Bushmaster claimed this dealer was a "good customer" and it was happy to keep doing business with it! https://twitter.com/igorvolsky/status/686216133305864193 …

You should check with DOJ, I hear they're "missing" thousands of guns that they "accidentally" gave to Mexican narco terrorists @igorvolsky

Think Progress’ Igor Volsky’s embarked on an anti-gun rant earlier today. In one stage of his whiny diatribe, Volsky claimed that legislation signed by President Bush in 2005 gave “immunity” to the gun industry.

Townhall editor Katie Pavlich didn’t allow Volksy’s claims to go unchecked.

Fact check: It's not an immunity, gun industry is responsible for bad products, not responsible for bad people @igorvolsky @NRA

Exactly. The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act was intended to provide legal relief for companies whose products were misused by others. In other words, a manufacturer couldn’t be held liable for a criminal act carried out with its product. There is a big difference between misuse and a faulty product. As Pavlich very effectively points out, this could apply to a wide array of industries.

So do you believe car dealers should be responsible when drunk drivers kill? Stop lying about immunity that doesn't exist @igorvolsky

Not that we would want such a fact to get in the way of a politically-driven, baseless attack.

@KatiePavlich @igorvolsky I can't imagine this clown has a rebuttal to your tweet bc there isn't one.

Nope, there sure isn’t.
