correlation does not equal causation, but 100% of mass shooters have and use guns in the mass shootings. 100% of mass shooters on psych meds had guns, but 100% of mass shooters not on psych meds also had guns. Proportion of mass shooters on or prescribed psych meds is high but what is the proportion of people on psych meds who are mass shooters?? 1 in 10 Americans takes an antidepressant (30,000,000 potential mass shooters!!), 1 in 4 women over the age 40, how many of them are mass shooters?? Shouldn't there be an abundance of 40+ year women mass shooters if antidepressants have a strong causal action? Add in antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anxiolytics and narcotics like the Charleston guy was on and the numbers of Americans on some type psychotropic is in the 1 in 5 to 1 in 8 range. My advice, absolutely do not focus on or do anything about gun availability regarding mass shootings, and instead focus on the use of psychotropic meds as cause of mass shootings, and given the total number of Americans on psychotropics, stay inside, with doors locked, and reinforced with steel plating to block the stray bullets........
