Pirate People? Hmmm. I like that! I'm one of the Pirate People! Of course, since they are presently stinking out the joint, maybe I won't admit that to others off this Board.
 
My first major league game was the first day they wore the "Mustards" in the Spring of 1970. My dad and I struck up a conversation with Bob Veale during batting practice. I still have the autographed yearbook.
Nice memory.
 
1970-1971 Willie Stargel in left field, Al Oliver in center, and Roberto in right field. Richie Hebner at third, Gene Alley? at short, Dave Cash at 2nd, and Bob Robertson at 1st. I think Clines rotated in as the 4th outfielder. Manny Sanguien behind the plate. Dave Giusti was our top relief pitcher. Pitchers: Steve Blass, Bob Moose, Bruce Kison, Doc Ellis.
