I didn't say I agree with everything he says but he is extremely creative and he thinks differently. I really enjoy listening to people who are intelligent and creative problem solvers.

What he's saying in this series is that universities are wasting resources on crap like gourmet cafeterias that doesn't add value to your degree. Is it more important to give 100 million to a school who already has an endowment of more than 20 billion or to a school who's endowment is less than a billion?

Interestingly, Gladwell had a pretty spot on view of Sandusky in this article from 2012. Given his stature I was surprised this article didn't get more play at the time. Thought it should have been in the regular arsenal of those of us looking for the real story in all this.
