One of the things i always found fascinating about the hubble deep field images is how (apparently) densely packed the galaxies are/were. Seems to be good supporting evidence for the expansion of the universe over time.
Was just listening to Joe Rogan’s Monday podcast and it has English physicist Brian Cox. Really good listen. I consider myself a fairly intelligent person but Space is one of the few things, when listening to people who really know it, that make me feel like a total moron.
I listened as well. Couldn’t agree more - a fascinating three hours, highly recommend it. Will try to see Brian Cox when he comes to States in spring. Starts tour in Philly area in April.
It’s amazing what we can “see”, and how they can understand what elements were around at the beginning based on what elements are and are not found as you go further into space
