125. Darian Cruz vs. a game Rayvon Foley. I think Cruz handles him buy a 28 win wrestler in the first round.

Barlow McGhee what happened? If I remember correctly 8th seed 2016.

133. Pletcher vs. Pengilly (4-1) Only because I love the name.

141. Lee vs. Deihl, we need big bonus.

149. Jarad Prince 22-4 vs. Sorenson, I can see some of the seeds go down hope Hayes is one of them;)

157. Short vs. Shields. which short shows up?

165. McFadden vs. Finesilver. I just have not seen him wrestle this year.

174. Smith vs. Gunther. Gunther has been wrestling his best lately and only lost by 2 to Smith earlier in season.

184. Renda vs. Moore OK ST. Renda won 3-0 earlier but Moore has yet to win against a ranled wrestler.

197. Kyle Conel vs. Weigle. Weigle limited action and Conel beat Shak.

285. Kasper vs. AJ. Gotto for former NLWC member.

Any of them! I was hoping following the forum would make the wait go faster but, it's only making it worse for me! Can it please be Thursday? (But I like your post, and the thread idea is a good one! :))

Keener vs. Forys;
Zacherl vs. Chad Red;
Heil vs. Cheek (24-8)

157 Mr Nolf

Yes, Hefferman (Nolf's first round opponent) has had very close losses to #5 Pataleo (SV 6-4), #2 Lavallee (7-5), and #4 Shields (TB 5-4). And he sports a 19-6 record. He hasn't been pinned, tech-ed or majored this year.

He is a good sign of what Nolf will do next weekend

Last year Hefferman entered the NCAAs as the 10 seed. Won his 1st round match then lost his next 2.

Heffernan actually won that match against Pantaleo. He seems to keep it close with everybody, he's a 5th year senior and has only given up bonus once in his entire career including his RS year and that was in his sophomore campaign up 2 weight classes against Daniel Lewis, lost by major decision.

If I was a betting man--I say Hefferman not giving bonus all year changes next Thursday--I do believe that Jason is now 100%--and if I had my guess Jason is pissed --and we all know what happens when Nolf gets mad.

An optimistic view of things. But I would be shocked if Jason is fully healthy. I plan to be on edge for every one of his matches.

It's almost like someone from fOSU had a say in the seedings:eek:

After watching the third period of Jason's second match at Big 10's, I am not worried, he looked like himself. GL to field Nolf is fine... Book it (My inner Spyker is coming out)

Remind me again what happened in the 3rd period against Short? I don't recall the specifics of that match, other than Nolf got a bunch of back points. But my general impression of Nolf at B1Gs was that he looked almost normal from the top position, but not the same when on his feet. So while I hope you are right about his injury condition, I'm not convinced at all that he is 100%.

125: Jay Schwarm vs. Drew Mattin, then second round, Jay Schwarm vs. Cruz.

Of interest because Schwarm either loses big or he pins, and there's no in between. Mattin and Cruz are BOTH vulnerable to a pin.

I don't think he has to be 100% to win it all, IMO he is that good. Even if he is tentative, the other wrestlers need to score on him and I just don't see that happening. Blue and White glasses but whatever.

agree, john. jason seemed a little off(while winning handily) and was more cautious than i've ever seen him wrestle. not sure the 11 days are enough to make a difference.

AJ will be the third Nevills to take on Kasper. Kasper was a lot smaller a few years back and Zach beat him. Nick has faced him 3 times with a 2-1 record. If AJ wins, there going to be a pretty wild celebration in the Penn State section.

I kinda like the odds of a smaller AJ vs. a smaller Kasper. Third Bro and lost matches to the first two... interesting!
