how many matches in wrestle backs does Kuhn need.

Tough road after nAto Lizeak or the NU kid.

Garsca upset McKenna in first round of 41. You ain’t in the PacTen any more Joesph!!

Is Suriano 100 percent?

Iowa out scores OSU

Any 2 wins earns Carson a trip to the big dance...
What a Cinderella story that would be! Your school shuts down the program, you battle injuries, finally get into your transfer school after delays, go 1-2 then make the NCAAs! I am really pulling for him!

I could be wrong, but McKenna's too good for that to happen. I've been touting him since he was at Stanford (I'm also a Stanford fan). Wrestles a very basic style-much like Cliff Moore, national champ from Iowa-that still works to this day.

Dumb question: if he drops into the mini-tourney for 9th/10th, do those 4 wrestlers get rebracketed, so that he would face the highest seeded of those 4?

Reason: if Suriano defaulted out, his first round bye would make him the highest seed in that mini-tourney. Kuhn would get him, thus would effectively have a bye into NCAAs.

Note: I'm not expecting Suriano to default out. Just pointing out how the brackets might line up.

If he defaulted out, I would think he is comfortable with his automatic bid... an injury or illness could impact him even against a 14th seed...

I think ElJefe meant that if he defaulted it would help Carson by Carson not having to wrestle him in the first round of the mini bracket.

Sorry- I thought the “him” was Suriano... distracted posting as I watched our hoops best OSU for the three-peat!

Yes, they re-bracket the four based on seed. That is assuming something has not changed as that is how it was done last year.
