Since Wrestling for Life takes in less than $50,00 a year we are only required to file a 990N with the IRS. It provides so little information, I thought I would share some data with you.
We took in $21,208.69, in 2018 which is a $3,172 increase over 2017. We had 62 new donors, most of whom came from CowboyUp's challenges and many of whom are BWI posters.
We spent $22,181.82 (The difference between income and expenses was covered by our year-beginning balances in checking and savings.)
The money was spent on:
wrestling gear (primarily shoes) - $10,814
tickets (duals, DII's and World Cup) - $3,875
scholarships (camps, clinics and competition) - $2,840
shipping (primarily gear) - $2,836
marketing/fundraising - $1,164
miscellaneous - $650
Over 500 pairs of wrestling shoes were sent to 40 schools, clubs, civic organizations and Beat the Streets chapters in 18 states, from Alaska to Florida and Arizona to Maine.
We start 2019 with $1,516.77 in checking and $231.77 in savings. Much of that money will go toward tickets that have already been promised. As word spreads about our shoe program our revenues must continue to grow. We could not do it without you. Thank you.
