Positives:
- Team title
- Getting to watch RBY's entire amazing career
- Max gave it his all and battled back for every point he could manage
- Starocci and Brooks on the road to being 4-timers
- Haines absolutely killing it
- SVN jumping levels so quickly you could see it happening
- Bartlett jumping levels and trusting his offense
- Kerk is now the king of the hill among the big men, he is gonna be a bonus machine next year

Negatives
- There really aren't any. Overall this team crushed expectations and guys keep getting better.

Just like last year when it was evident they were going to be even better this year I feel the same way. I can see them continuing to improve and putting up even more points next year. I think Josh Barr is gonna step up and be the next big thing with Kasak and Davis taking redshirts and then busting out in 2024-25.

This is perhaps the most spoiled I’ve felt yet. Won by 55 with 7 semifinalist, 5 finalists and 2 champs and after the final session I can’t shake an icky feeling. But that’s sort of mentality that Cael has bred. They want to win everything you could possibly win.

Spoiled was the exact word that came to my mind as well. Was hoping for a min of 3 out of 5 in the finals, but that's the way it goes, sometimes you just have to tip the cap AOC, Mason and Vito who were clearly better tonight.

Watching these NCAA's is always mixed emotions as you get the positives with the team championship, Carter, Aaron, Beau and Shayne, but you feel bad that RBY and Kerk's years did not end on a high note, but, then I think to myself, in the grand scheme of things there are much worse things in life, like being an Iowa fan.

None of the 3 losses surprised me individually but the history says PSU was gonna get at least 1/3. So to get none sucks

Another great year and scary to think but they have much to improve upon but with BB, SVN, Levi, Facundo, Starocci, Brooks, and Kerk back expect the same next year. Transfers possibly at 125 or 133 and 197 if they want but they’ll ride those seven guys to another crown in 2023/24.

After drinking beer all night and being quasi disappointed about the results tonight (hoops team included)

I just poured myself a celebratory bourbon in the Penn state rocks glass.

Congrats to Cael and crew on another great season

Excellent season. Feel bad for RBY. At least Kerk and Haines have more chances.

negatives..after hearing Carter interview, sounds like this was his last college match. If so, it sucks because he has 2 yrs left but he’s earned the right to do what he wants and I’ll support him.

Haven’t heard anything about Brooks if he intends to come back?

I wouldn’t expect any transfers at 197 (unless someone approaches them first like Dean did). Cochran is pretty good and guys like Barr, Ryder, Fricchione, and Mirasola are coming soon.

It sounded like he might take an ORS year next year. Who knows after that?

No, they were all acceptable losses but like other have said we are a spoiled fanbase. We expect guys to win even they're not supposed to and for some reason it seems like they usually do.
I’ve always been of the “there’s no magic, they’re just good at this” belief. But after going 7 for 7 in the quarters I was feeling unsure of that and when Shayne went up 3-1 on Yianni was like “holy shit, there is mystical stuff going on.”

Based on his interview, I get the impression he wants to go Olympics next year. He also has the confidence that he will win Olympic gold, and then be done with wrestling. If he doesn’t win Olympic gold, I think he would continue wrestling.

That’s my take.

Yeah, it’s amazing how this program has set the bar in the stratosphere for us. All the guys lost because the other wrestlers came out and wrestled terrific matches and earned their titles. None of our guys did poorly at all, and yet, it’s disappointing somehow.

So Levi up to 65 and Facundo up to 74?

The way I interpreted it was he wants to go all out for Olympics so that takes next year out of play and then wants to fight. Mentioned Bo kicking ass and the guy at his weight is a D2 national champ.

I’m assuming he graduates this year. Hopefully Cael and Casey can get one more year out of him.

Realistically he's nowhere near ready for top senior level competition. I may be wrong but even making the national team would be a tall order with Dake in his way.

Yea, I’d agree with that

The quarter final round was about the most fun I’ve ever had watching wrestling. And it seems like I say that almost every year. Disappointed for the guys that lost, but overall it was an unbelievable few days of wrestling and what a great time to be a PSU wrestling fan.

we need to be careful that we do not become Brazil in the world cup complaining about how they win matches and how they could be more compelling or prettier with an additional win.

There was a ton of talent diffused through the NCAA this year and PSU won 2 matches, took 2nd in 3 matches and third in 2 matches..........and we are wondering about how this year went......

I would say that it went very well and well done team.

Mixed feelings.

Super happy with the team and another great year. Proud of every single competitor on this team. Bummed for RBY, Levi and Greg. Really wanted to see RBY go out on top but that is NCAA wrestling. He’ll be on top on whatever route he chooses next. Levi and Greg will rebound. We got some young killers coming up so future is bright.

Super bummed folkstyle is now over! Sigh. Wait all year for these couple months.

Yeah, In ten weight classes, PSU was top three in SEVEN. That’s just domination in the big picture, so anyone saying the season isn’t a success is delusional. But tonight was still a little disappointing regardless. A little.

The disappointment everybody feels isn't really a localized sense of disappointment. It was a fun year and great post-season. The disappointment most are feeling is a disappointment we all feel because a couple of the kids we emotionally support fell short of their ultimate goal and we feel their disappointment. It is OK to feel it.
