At long last, I have to call you out on your tagline. Orwell was socialist in his political leanings, while being deeply suspicious of any form of government that undermined objective truth, especially in the (newspaper) media, much less determined what did and didn't comport with factual reality. He was appalled by Soviet heavy-handedness toward non-Soviet socialists in Spain. Channeling 1984 as a political "playbook" is simply silly, and it would be almost as silly for me to say that Truth Social is tantamount to the Ministry of Truth. Fortunately, there is no "memory hole" in which tangible truth can disappear. I'd encourage you and others to read his text, Homage to Catalonia.
