FB Recruiting 2026 Four-Star WR Jerquaden Guilford decommits from Penn State

I don't know anything more than what I see in the rankings but it doesn't look good when we struggle to get 4* WRs.

Interesting stats.....number 1 player in Indiana....with very pedestrian stats.....he may play for a running team and does not get many chances but his junior year stats are pretty mid.......... PSU liked him and seems like he could have and could be a player.....but does not seem like a great loss.

Do you actually analyze high school stats? Who in our region should we be going after based on high school stats?

Bragadone > Barkley. High school stats matter. Sarcasm

Guilford was the only WR commit that was over 5'10" and given that I believe we need some size outside in order to get back to having WR's that make 50-50 balls into 80-20 balls, or even 70-30 balls, this sets the 2026 WR class pretty close to starting over for me. And given the other new offers regarding one of the other WR commits maybe Hagans really will be pretty much starting over for this class. And I'm hoping for some bigger, more physical WR to be added to the class before signing day. Maybe 3 more.....
This is spot on. We haven’t had a big physical WR since Godwin. Think about our best WR group in 2016 with Johnson 6’4”, Godwin 6’1”, Hamilton 6’1”, and Blacknall 6’3”. Our WR recruiting has been atrocious the past 5 years.

I want Hagans gone, I just can’t take this anymore! He’s not much better than Stubblefield at the end of the day! Time to admit defeat, & find the next guy at this point!
Just like you wanted Phil trautwein gone a few years ago.

The wrs you complained about all year were Stubblefield guys. Only the freshman were hagans guys.

The fact that a 3* wr decommit sets you off yells me you are The problem. When he committed you didn't want him because he was too slow and a 3 *.

So your best wr group had two 6'1 guys who made most of the catches. Next best wr on that team was thompkins at 5'11.

Since then the best were hamler at 5'9, Washington at 5'10 and dotson at 5'11.

This proves we need more players like Matt zanatello 6'3, Irvine charles 6'4, Malik mega 6'4, jadin dottin 6'2.

I felt that my comments were pretty balanced..... are you going to argue that his high school stats are not pretty average.....500 yards receiving....I think 3 or 4 TDs......does not suggest a great player, yet he was considered the best player in Indiana, a pretty good sized state. So clearly he is talented........ but his stats are probably not as good as 5 guys living in your county. You would like to think that a receiver would have more yards, maybe a few return touchdowns........ to be considered a great prospect.

I wish the recruit well. PSU thought enough of him to recruit him fairly early and that usually is enough for me, but claiming that this is a can't miss guy and that we are screwed now at WR seems like an over reaction.

Thought they may have navigated the storm with this one but it appears not. I’d imagine he won’t be considering Penn State going forward.

Is there a JERKWADen in here?

"Uh, you mean Jerquaden?"

Doesn't matter till they sign; and then, it still doesn't matter, in past years I was really excited about recruiting and commitments, now not so much.
