This is really big news. This wasn't some small venue tour. These were stadiums that were sold out with $500 and up floor seats.

And three weeks before the dates start.

As I mentioned when they were originally on sale, they need to include a life insurance contract on Mick with the tickets.

Hard to believe Mick needs treatment but Keith keeps rolling along. Keith must be pickled so he’s immune to everything.
Mick hasn't exactly led a clean life.

However, when I visited Barbados, Mick had just left a hotel down the beach. Everyone was abuzz because if you got up early in the AM, you could watch him do 200 sit ups and 100 push ups among other exercises on the beach every morning. They all said what incredible shape he was in. This was when he was around 60. So it would seem he cleaned up his act.

I had also heard that he would run about five miles a day

I saw them 20 years ago and they were way past peak in terms of quality. The songs hardly sounded like the originals. I can only imaging how off it would be now. Can’t imagine paying to see that mess.

I saw the Stones on their “last concert tour ever”. The show was at Buffalos’ Rich Stadium in 1980. I cannot believe that they went on to tour again.

Did you see their 2016 Havana Moon concert? They were top notch. Obviously the expectation of 70 something’s should be lower but i suggest you take a look at that concert

Reminds me of standing in line at a concert back in 1982 with a friend who was a huge Stones fan. A Stones song came on and the guy in line behind me turns to his buddy and says “geriatric rock”, which my friend took badly. Hard to believe that 37 years later the Stones would be trying to tour again.

Glad someone said it. Should have hung it up after Tattoo You

Trying?

The stand to gross $500,000,000.

Trying??

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

I saw them in Philly in like 2001 or so at Vet's stadium. They were awful. Yet the next night the played in the (Whatever company sponsored it then) Center and supposedly were fantastic,

Saw them outdoors in Raleigh in 2015. I’m not a big Stones fan at all and thus went in with low expectations. Came away really surprised and impressed. While I’m sure it didn’t compare to a show in their heyday, their voices were still pretty strong and the show was amazingly pretty high energy. They could still rock.

I can live without seeing septuagenarians prancing around on stage in leotards.

I love the marketing angle at the end. Yeah... remarkable condition other than those old heart valves...

Ha! Well, great shape considering he's 75. Life expectancy for a UK male is ~ 80. I am 100% certain Mr. Jagger took a few years off of his life when he was between 18 and 35 with drugs and such. I read a story written by Mackenzie Phillips detailing how her father (Mamas & Papas) would get her high, as a teen, and share her sexually. Having said that, and I already posted this, I went to Barbados on Vacation many years ago (late 1990s, Lady Di died the day before we left and the place was really sad as they are a British holding) and got there a week after Mick was there. Several workers told me Mick would be on the beach at the crack of dawn, bury his feet in the sand, and do 200 sit ups. He'd then do an exercise regimen that few young men could keep up with. They also said he ate a very healthy diet (fish and salads).

I appreciate that he jogged or whatever but I doubt his regimen was special.

He is a smallish man so some things like jogging are possible even at a later age.

Regarding the first part of your post... no idea what Phillips has to do with this but I dont believe a word out of her mouth. Could be true. Could also be complete lies.
