409

Vacating victories is stupid in every single case. The events happened, they are part of the historical record.

JoePa won 409 games as Penn State Football Head Coach. Ohio State football also won 12 games in the 2010 season. Despite what the NCAA says.

Agree, but in Penn State's case a case for competitive advantage can't even be made. And that is regardless of where anyone comes down on the whole Sandusky thing.

Every other program that has had wins vacated broke ncaa rules. One can argue whether wins should be vacated, but in every case other than Penn State, the ncaa was correct to take action. Hence, Penn State's wins were restored and other programs' wins haven't been and won't be.

it was very telling that the NCAA's own violations database listed NONE for PSU. ever.

Agree about PSU. Not sure about OSU.

If a team wins by gaining an illegal / unfair competitive advantage they should be at risk of forfeiting games. PSU did not gain a competitive advantage. I'm not sure if OSU gained a competitive advantage (probably not). If a team plays a kid that is not legally eligible they should definitely forfeit.
