Haven't watched the tape and maybe the charges are justified, but don't know. However, the Atlanta system is so kangaroo justice that they were fired without an opportunity to explain their actions, which involved tasering. My point is that a lot of the police on black persons conflicts are a matter of police culture and not white racism. Here we have a black mayor and black officers and there still is conflict.

Here is what the police chief had to say: "Police Chief Erika Shields told Atlanta police officers Monday that her firing of two cops involved in an excessive force arrest during Saturday night’s protests was justified, but said criminal charges filed against them by Fulton District Attorney Paul Howard was “a tsunami of political jockeying during an election year.”

Shields also said in the memo to all APD employees that the charges have caused multiple agencies to end their support for the department [other law enforcement agencies afraid of being unjustly charged] in the ongoing protests against police violence that entered a sixth consecutive night on Wednesday." https://www.officer.com/investigati...-chief-charges-against-officers-are-political

Countersuit filed by first two officers fired is here. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/atlant...d-protests-sue-mayor-police-chief-2020-06-09/
