1) I was dissapointed in how the team started the game last night. I thought the effort was below average to start the game. The NW win was a very good win, but that Wisconsin team, while not as good in previous years, is still a very good team in my opinion. Wisconsin has stuck with good teams this year. They are a disciplined team.
2) Reeves was missed, he at least gave them another basketball player on the floor. I am interested to see how Chambers adjusts his game plan with Reeves probably being out majority of the season.
3) On the bright side, PSU has showed a lot better in Big Ten play than I originally thought, you can see glimpses, but they just don't have enough fire power to make their runs. The Maryland/Wisconsin games are prime examples.
4) I think next year we will see a vastly improved Shep Garner, in my opinion. He will be playing off the ball. I give Shep a ton of credit this year, he has had a good year and has played out of position. That kid literally has to do everything out there for PSU to win, little margin for error. Shep is a kid you want in your program, selfless. He will do everything for the team to win. That's a player you want in your program.
5)I am encouraged by the reports about Mike Watkins, I really hope he can play all four years at PSU. Mike Watkins gives a big difference in the team if he can stay on the floor. I think we will see an even better defensive team next year and we are pretty good as it as.
6) Be encouraged, though last night was disappointing, but the quality of play has been much better.

Have at it.
