A Holiday Message From Franco

Dana Harris sent this around in an email blast & would like it shared. For those of you not on it, I put Franco's text on Facebook Notes for ease in sharing. You do not have to be on Facebook in order to read it or share it.

Have a phenomenal holiday season!

As long as we forever keep "Success With Honor" as our guiding purpose, I'll grit my teeth and get through my personal wish for a stranglehold onto "Basic Blues...." and live with whatever subtle and not-so-subtle changes a coach wishes to bring to the uniforms, the field, etc. Exception being Joyner's mandate for names on jerseys and retiring #22 (as opposed to a more appropriate 'Ring of Honor' concept), both of which were done to stick it to Joe. 10 years from now, with Joe's name rightfully honored, if James or whoever is the coach at the time feels the need to make uniform changes, I'll complain but I'll be ok with it. Prior to all this happening in 2011, I have always said this same thing.... whoever is the new coach, I respect their need to put a personal stamp on the program, as long as we do not stray from "Success With Honor". That alone honors Joe in a most wonderful way.
