During the IN game I watched as Laurent played a solid game. He was often pushed back a yard or two but held his ground. Didn't see him break down. Good game. We will be ok next year with him.
Saw Rheiner play the last series. He's bigger than Laurent, and he usually manhandled his man, pushing HIM back several yards. He also switched off, looked and moved around like he really knew what he was doing. Based on that snippet, he looks like he could/should play a lot more. It was a small sample, but he was commanding.
OL: I didn't notice many of the guys on the OL. I take that to mean they are doing their job. Rewatching the video, that's how they looked. Competent. Gaia had a good game. Finding blocking support for PP remains an issue, esp. against the upcoming teams.
QB: McSorrely impressed. He was always around Hack congratulating him, showing good team energy. When he got into the game he knew what he was doing, and ran a variety of plays which he executed flawlessly. Sure the game was over, but he didn't look like a back up. Hope that proves true when his turn comes. He can run, pass, be decisive, option, ....do it all. A diamond in the rough...but not that rough.
