I know everybody is bummed about the dual, but to give a little positive.
I was at the dual tonight with my 9 year old. He is a huge fan and snuck down next to tunnel for 2nd half of dual. After losing for the first time since 2015 Cael walked up to him, patted him on the head signed his PSU singlet and spoke to him before even going back into tunnel. Mark Hall was next, then Cenzo. The rest of the team went into tunnel but shortly after came out, signed autographs and took pictures. Entire team, and I believe entire staff.
They were gracious and patient. I was truly impressed at the humility and class they showed in what had to be a disappointing night. I was a fan before, but bigger fan now.

Great post.

This is because of Cael and how he handles adversity. Didn't see him jumping up and down like an idiot when Cassar was close to pinning Hall. Didn't see him slink off after it didn't happen. He tips his hat to the other team and gets back to work. And so does his team. If being gracious and thankful is more than just words, this is the way you act when you lose.

I agree, thanks for sharing...

though it’s a common story, played out over and over again. This will be a Cael legacy, for sure, and is the softer side of his approach to growing the sport.

I hope it’s not a common story that PSU are gracious losers of meets or tournaments. I hope they are always gracious winners. :)
