I just read that the Department of education has sent/is sending notifications to those in default on student loans. The government has the authority to garnish wages, social security, tax returns as a form of repayment.
I envision a mantra similar to the original "forgive student loans" chanted by Warren, Sanders and company. Media is already bemoaning that senior citizens might have their social security checks garnished leading to an inability to pay rent, mortgages or even to eat.
While the talking points are probably just being written at DNC HQ, I wonder if this new issue might move the Kilmar Abrega Garica, Harvard grants, or boys in girls sports off the front page of anti trump rhetoric.
Dems are already close to losing one of their main talking points. I just came from the food store and the price of eggs is down again. Where I shop, the cost is about half what it was when Biden left office.
