I'm very optimistic about this season, but let's look ahead just for hoots. I'm looking at the current depth chart, and I'm making the assumption that Hack is the only player to leave early-more on that as we go.
Start with the offensive line- we lose Mangiro, and nobody else. Unless Gaia goes early, we return 4 starters and every #2 on the line.
At TE, we return 3 who will see significant playing time this year, at WR we return everyone. And at RB, again-everyone.
Surprisingly, the situation on defense is nearly as good- while we lose three lineman (yeah, I know how good those guys are) all of the 2s and 3s will be back and no doubt will have seen some playing time by the end of this season. They work together, of course- but it's not like replacing an offensive line.
Linebackers- well, EVERYBODY is back-three deep. A couple of losses in the secondary, but we're deep there and we've all seen sophs and even freshmen excel there based on athletic ability alone.
Assuming that either Sorley or Stevens turns out to be a player, I see 2016 as being a fun year to watch.
Am I insane?
