I want to give a ton of credit to these players, who played their hearts out today. I know Illinois and PSU are not going to the big dance, but PSU won a "character" game today, when a lot of teams could mail it in, but they fought. Chambers, staff, and players played and coached hard today, they wanted this one.

1) Credit to Chambers, staff, and players they exceeded my expectations for this year, 7wins for an undermanned and young team is huge and remarkable. They also won more games then I thought as well. I knew they were young, but they shows well.
2) I thought we played better defense today. An adjustment I saw was it was obvious Hill was in the zone today, but the team D loaded up on the role players to limit them. It's the old adage, let him get 40 and limit the others.
3) Jack and Reeves played a huge role in today's game. They gave PSU an extra push that thy needed. When PSU gets two additional role players to give them a punch then PSU usually wins.
4) I expect Reeves next year to be featured on the teams top offensive guard for the coming years. In a year or two I expect Reeves and Stevens to be our top perimiter defenders in the coming years.
5) What else is new, Taylor and Shep were solid once again. Shep has played his best basketball over the last month, really turned a corner. He is much more savey and creative with the ball then in previous games. He also plays with an better change of pace, all in development.
6) Playing with house money in the BIG tourny, see what happens.
7) Roman won their first playoff games yesterday. Matchups and times will be determined soon. Stevens and Carr led Roman to the win. Stevens with 14&7 (two Thunderous dunks) Carr with 12,7,7 a near tripplet double.
