I’ve done all the obvious things like making sure the sound on the phone is on. I’ve gone to Google and tried all of their suggestions. Still no sound. Anyone out there have any ideas?

Haven’t used waze in years but do you pronounce it ‘ways’ or ‘wah-zay’? I always did the second and made my wife mad lol

I"ve had that problem when the app attaches to the car via cable or Bluetooth. The phone thinks it is going through the car's sound system and the car isn't getting it. Of course, make sure your radio is turned on in the car. You can always turn off Bluetooth and/or unplug the cable if it is plugged in.

There are settings in Waze too.

I have had more issues with Waze lately it seems. Not being able to connect to Waze (and then I hit the apple or google map app and it comes right up so not a cellular issue). Waze not choosing the best option when you put your destination in as sometimes I know where I am and need to go and just punch in the destination to see if there are some back streets that would be better and it gives me 20 minutes and then I ignore what Waze is saying and go an alternate road and it recalculates to a faster time, so why didn't it give me that to begin with.

I’ve Googled every possible solution and can’t get anywhere. I guess I need to have another kid and wait till he’s 3 and get him to fix this for me.

I have had that issue with google maps but it was because I have my phone hooked up to the car with bluetooth and forget to switch the input on the car audio to phone - if you don't you won't get any sound form the phone.
