ELITE begins with stout offensive and defensive lines. These teams have both. Not sure who's recruited DL better than these two teams over the past few years, especially at DT. I mean, 'Bama has been on their own island for a while now...Clemson's getting closer.
You need playmakers, absolutely, but it's also nice if your OL can consistently push defenders into the second level, while having a disruptive defensive line.
My question to the recruiting gurus out here: are elite DTs becoming a rarity, especially outside of the South? If so, why is that the case?
