All American teams announced by NWCA

 Does anyone ever put “NWCA AA” on their resume? Is any wrestler super happy to be “NWCA AA”?

From what I’m reading, NWCA is the officially recognized body to award AA’s. The NCAA does not recognize any AA’s.

Nobody ever puts anything else on their resume. "All American" is not something from the NCAA, it's from the NWCA.

"Each year the NWCA recognizes the outstanding work of the DI Student-Athletes by naming the All-Americans based on their achievements in the national championship, however, this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic the championships were canceled."

Thanks! Please help me more to get this straight. Is it true that pretty much every year AA means “placed top 8 at NCAAs”, but this year it means something different?

From the list, the Big10 had 38 All Americans, almost half of the field. The 133 and 174 weights kicked ass with 5 each. No weight class had less than three Big10 wrestlers. What a conference!

Was disappointed that in a year that they didn't wrestle for it that i might have had a chance. I was my 7th grade gym class champ.

From what i understand... the NWCA can do whatever they want. It has meant top 8 since i remember, but the NWCA also said they’re looking into future years.
Seems to me they took the top 16 and gave them AA status. I’ve seen some tweets asking for clarification, and the NWCA responsed that more info would be forthcoming.
