Got mine via email around 4:30 am. So, before I forget to, I voted already this morning.

If you are so inclined, be sure to look for your ballot via email - Inbox, Spam box, wherever they may be assigned! - and vote for up to 3 candidates.
If you're not so inclined, I'm not here to convince you otherwise. Others can elaborate on the futility of it all, or on the importance of giving a good show of interested alumni via raw vote counts.
I'm just here to give the first of what will be sure to be many reminders about the Alumni BOT election. :cool:

Thanks for the heads up.
I received mine as well but this time it was in the SPAM box, not sure why since it never went there before.:confused:
 
I vomit in the general direction of the BOT, and vote for Jay - and only Jay- just to piss them off.

I would first either select or eliminate anyone named Bob, depending on your built-in Bob bias.
Otherwise, you're on your own.... and you CAN do this on your own!

(Bad jokes aside, vote the way you decide is best.)

I have not yet received a ballot.
I will vote for Jay, and have eliminated Bowsher from consideration.
Alice Pope will likely receive my 2nd vote, which leaves me with one undecided. I have three choices. Only vote for Jay and Alice. Vote for Jay, Alice, and Bob Jubelirer. OR, write in Franco Harris or Barry Fenchak as my final choice. At present, I am strongly leaning toward a write in because I expected much more from Mr. Jubelirer (perhaps too much).
In the end, I doubt much will change. We may see some sizzle, but no steak. All the steak is eaten at the Old Guard table.

I know in my heart of hearts that this is a ill-disguised slam against any and all Bobs, and I am your #1 target. Don't even bother trying to convince me otherwise.

It is hard to accept that you have the beautiful and noble letter "B" batting leadoff for your name. Please do the right thing and trade it for an "L" or a "G" or an "H" to be named later. (No offense to any of those fine letters.)

I wonder how OUTRAGED. :eek: Bob Jubelirer is. Is Bob Bowsher sufficiently OUTRAGED. :eek: ? They need to engage me to get my vote. Hmm, maybe engage isn't the best word choice here. :eek:

We need more quality candidates on the ballot so that we have more choices. Start thinking about next year now. One thing about Bob J - at this point in his life he has accomplished a lot and seems like he has no other agenda than to serve.

My question is what has Bob done during his term? How has he made Penn State better? What does he hope to accomplish if he is reelected?
