Haley was born in the US, so she is clearly a natural born American citizen. Trump cited with approval on Truth Social an article by a 2022 law graduate that incorrectly claimed that because her parents were born outside of the US, she was not eligible. The problem is not so much that Trump is clearly wrong, but that he is citing a nobody young lawyer for the stupid proposition. Trump has a terrible record of dealing with attorneys and managing the DOJ. This just shows that he hasn't learned anything and will continually be looking for nobody attorneys to dream up wrong theories that agree with his predilictions. Further evidence that he will be incapable of managing the DOJ if he is elected President.
