I mean, I enjoyed the game, I'd love to know which future stars also did and if we've made any moves with recruits (including basketball, I assume some BB recruits may have been there as well).

How about MBB recruits? I assume Rhodes had some visitors today.

Anyone notice van Buren now has a crystal ball for Oregon?
Yep, but why would that guy, a Miami football reporter, know more about it than those that follow Van Buren's top choices, PSU and Oregon? Just creating some confusion? Who knows.

Do PSU analysts put in picks for other teams? Are they just creating confusion? Do you count PSU predictions from non PSU analysts?

If Pribula is solid and waits his turn when a senior then it could be '25 as the key QB recruiting year as in the next Allar. Sits behind Pribula in '25 then starts in '26. Obviously we need to be aggressive on QB recruiting and getting the best guy when they are available and a '24 guy could beat out Pribula in '25 but this could be the scenario that plays out.

It is why there is so much portal movement.

23- Allar
24- Allar
25- Pribula
26- Pribula
27-???
28-???

I have sdaid before the QB after Pribula is probably is 8th grade right now.

50/50 pribula is here.
I don't believe that. I believe he will play enough during the Allar years to know the job will be his for 2 years and that has been a life long dream.

He doesn't have the tried and true NFL measurables so he will be willing to put that on the back burner to start at PSU.

Plus he knows he should have 2 years of starting and the team looks to be going in a great direction. I think he stays as well.

Why would Pribula have 2 years after Allar departs? Both are in the same class so he has one left unless he redshirts.

10th grade now, graduates in '25 and succeeds Pribula for '26 season.

'22 - RS
'23 - RS FR year
'24 - RS SO year (theoretical Allar turns pro after this season)
'25 - RS JR year (Pribula potential first year starting)
'26 - RS SR year (2nd year starting theoretically)

Right?

Should be. People aren’t seeing that for some reason.

Except without injury he will NOT start for two years and no guarantee he will start after that.

And this is still all just conjecture. We have no idea what will happen between now and then. It's just mapping out the possibilities. Smolik or whoever we get this year could end up starting before then. Pribula and Smolik could leave and we have to use the portal.

I'd like to have an Alan Bowman type come and be the old guy in the room with experience as he did at Michigan (previous starter at Texas Tech and never went past #3 on Wolverines depth chart) this year, but that is a rarity.

Huh?

Are you enjoying 4/20 a bit much?

For the slow kids:

23-allar
24-allar
25-pribula
26-pribula

Why is that hard to understand?

50/50. Stats will probably back me up.

46% of starting QBs last year were transfers. That does not include backups who also transferred.
Almost 80% of 5* QBs transfer. The Athletic did a study on the top 50 QB recruits from 2017-2020 and 70% of them transferred.

Pribula may or may not get enough playing time behind Allar. Many years PSU offense has NOT been efficient enough to get the back ups playing time. If Pribula does get playing time that does not guarantee he will stay. If he does play and plays great he can be a starter somewhere else.

Christian Velleux, Micah Bowens, Taquon Robertson, Michael Johnson, Wil Levies, Tommy Stevens, Zembiec, Micheal Oconner, Tyler Ferguson, Steven Bench, Paul Jones. They dont wait 4 years to start.

Who is the last PSU QB to wait 4 years to start?

Who is the last PSU qb to wait till year 4 to start? None in the last decade.

Are you going to tell the other recruits the position is locked up till 27?

Any other positions locked up til 27?

How many transfer QBs have started at PSU?

No one tells any recruit at any position that the starting job is locked up until 27 or even next year.

Right?
How many QBs are 1st or 2nd round picks after their JR year?

And they don't tell players(pribula) they will be the starter three years from now either. Texas lion has the depth chart carved in stone which the rest of us know is bs.

I seriously doubt that he is thinking his depth chart is carved in stone. He is telling you how Pribula has a chance to start for 2 years even if Allar is the guy today.

They won’t need a qb until 27.

No. He has pribula penciled in as starter.

By the time pribula would start we should have 3 more qbs on the roster. If pribula plays well as a backup he will be gone. If he can start somewhere he goes. That is the trend.

That is possible but so is Pribula starting 2 years after Allar is drafted. Not sure why the idea is so contentious. Some think he would stay and you think he would transfer. Both could happen.
