it didn’t look horrible... he jogged off the field and was smiling on the sideline afterwards. Have they said what the injury was or how bad it is?

They said it was a tweak in his back and he seems fine. Should be good to go
I have been suffering with a bad back for the last two months. I would not be able to play football with my back the way it is, but then again I am not a world class athlete.

Not having a good patient history or physical exam in this instance, it is ridiculous for anyone to make any kind of diagnosis of what type of injury he suffered by watching the play on TV. Now, if there is an obvious injury such as the one Joe Theisman had several years ago where there was a clear view of his leg bending where it shouldn’t, then you could say he broke his leg. Otherwise it’s a SWAG, and probably not a good one. I started laughing when I read the post about the so-called doctor making the diagnosis by TV, because I had seen the play as well and just thought that was silly.

Saquon came out and said it was his back not a knee. Said he was fine, watch it again he kinda twists and hypeeextends his lower
T spine. Never grabbed his knee

No offense, ILLINOIS, but it seems like Fonzie does an awful lot of barking and not just for Barkley.:)

Actually he’s pretty quiet for a basset hound, other than barking for Barkley, Ms(s) Lane and Shue and a few dogs here on Tom’s Board, that’s about it. (I think he secretly also maybe whimpers when thinking about PSU’s WVB.)

In his life in the “real” world here in Chicagoland, the only time he ever barks is when we play at night. I’ll get my KU frat paddle off the bookcase and he’ll do laps and / or figure “8’s” around the living and dining room while I chase him and / or he chases me. I’ll put the paddle away, then he’ll come over, we’ll shake paw(s) and then he’ll curl up either on the sofa or with me in my tv recliner (a Lane “smuggler” with is extra wide).

OMG, I just realized, it’s a LANE snuggler. I’ve had it about nine years now and NEVER thought about it “that way” before tonight.

OMG!!!!!

That Lane Snuggler stuff made me laugh so hard it drew the attention of Mrs. G who thought I was answering a client email. You blew my cover! I better go. I have my own "snuggler recliner" tonight, but mine is a Gambit and is not "extra wide".:D

Fair:

Lanefurnature.com.....then go to the snuggler option.

My model is no longer one of the five offered, but you can see the concept, almost like a reclining mini loveseat. It accommodates Fonzie’s 60 pounds and my 250 pounds (or my “eighth of a ton” per my -ex) very comfortably.

Hi to Mrs G, rest well!

Or...you know....21 years old. Not that such a thing matters.......

Barkley highlights from yesterday's game against the Panthers. Check out the run at around 1:30. Ridiculous.

He did land awkwardly on the leap into the end zone.

I still say Barkley is turrible.

Based on how Barkley walked off the field you could tell it wasn't a knee/ankle injury.

Giants OL is fustrating to watch. Anytime their OL opens up a hole for Barkley, witch is maybe 3 times a game, he takes it for 20 yards or more.

These young men are so strong they are self-protected in a way most of us are not with their muscular structure. Yet, a drive-by diagnosis is silly in my mind. If one is seriously harmed a real exam is required, not a call-in show by TV contestants or alleged doctors. It's a phone call, how do you provide credentials and prove them over the phone?

I was examined for years and told my thoracic spine could not have and damage because it is attached to my ribs. When I finally had an MRI that only found five ruptured discs in that region to match the set in my neck. I was sold a bill of good I never believed because of medical prejudice by more than one doctor (OSU trained by golly). No doctor is infallible and a diagnosis over the TV is suspect. Trust yourself if you feel something is wrong. I heard three of my thoracic disc "blow" bending over one day in the garage. It sounded like rifle shots inside me and I hit the floor for a period of time before being able to stand again. Unrelenting pain. But, sir, it can't happen, they are connected to your ri........... over and over and over.

Maybe it was Dr. CUSTERDOME, and he has inside info.

The Doctor who said that is a damn hack. I have rewatched it from every angle and what caused him pain was the second leg coming down with all of his momentum which abruptly stopped causing torquing of his spine, especially at his lumbosacral junction — hope he didn’t blow a disc (at his age he’s just as likely to fracture a vertebral endplate as the discs are well hydrated and fairly rigid). If you watch his knees, they remain relatively stable.
