really disturbing allegations made about playboy enterprises from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Several stories of statutory rape for 13~17 year old girls. Fairly common to get photos and releases for 17-year-olds and then wait until they are 18 before publishing. Several stories that Heff filmed women while drunk/high in orgies and then use it as leverage to keep them in line. Also several stars (director John Huston, Jack Nicholson, Cosby, Polanski, Jim Brown, etc.).

On the other hand, several employee "witnesses" discussing their experiences but one has to wonder where the F they were when coked out 18 year olds were being filmed having orgies. So one has to wonder how much of it is women that knowingly leveraged their looks and are now calling it out after they've been used up.

I love you as a poster, but what are you hoping for here? For us to heap scorn upon Hefner’s grave now that all sorts of lurid and lascivious behavior is documented? Anyone who went within 1000 feet of the bunny ranch knew what they were getting involved with and “well there was a girl who was 17 and 360 days when filmed” just seems like the producer/director trying to play up a bullshit kiddie porn angle to generate buzz.

If there is actually evidence of girls legit 13-17 being coerced into things - yeah that’s gross and disturbing.

I've watched all 8 episodes so far. Perhaps some former employees are either embellishing their stories or seeking excuses for not taking action years ago.

Still, the overall story seems credible, and is very disturbing. Rampant drug use, mistreatment and rape of many, many young women, protection of Hefner above all else, videos without consent, etc. and more.

It was more an evil garden than a Paradise.

I watched an episode and have read about some of the other information that has been addressed in other episodes. I find the stuff that is coming out about as surprising as the fact that this morning the first indications of dawn appeared in the skies to the east and not those to the west.

just hoping to have a conversation and compare my thoughts to others.

In one way, it was kind of cultural to that time. man of power had their way and that wasn't just playboy but Hollywood, wall street, the local chamber of commerce. I am very fortunate that I've never participated in anything like this (drugs, booze, girls). I had gals work for me who came to me to tell me the "big boss" invited them to his room. I always wonder if I did the right things.

BINGO. Just the latest in a long line of people waiting until someone dies before they criticize.

Hefner was a life-long people user on a personal and professional basis as were many of those around him. Some of the people involved in the current series were genuine victims to a degree in that they got involved when they were too young to fully appreciate what they signed up for. Others turned their heads when it served their purposes and are now opening their mouths for the same reason. I don't respect them for their opportunism, but I'm not at all bothered by what it does for Hefner's image.

Several of the girls were the ones that teamed up and took Bill Cosby down. it seems to be a foregone conclusion that many, MANY girls were given coke and booze ~ 18 years of age, and screwed. Most on film in Heff's private collection. So while it is some of that, there is also more.

Wow, I used to admire him but he was POS. He got lucky and died before the Me To Movement could have disgraced him publicly which he sorely needed! He was Jeffery Epstein level of sickness. I still can't get over what poor Sondra Theodore said when she came into the bedroom suddenly during the day and Hef is having sex with HER POODLE!!! All these beautiful women around him and he is having sex with a DOG!!! Hef looks at her and says "Dogs need love to!". She said that she made sure Hef could never be alone with her poodle again! SICK MAN!

I also think he had those two women murdered in Chicago to protect him from the DEA sting that the were aggressively pursing against him for drug trafficking. He had to have been cozy with mob in the 60-70s in Chicago. He knew they were going to put him away for 20 years if those women testified against him and he could never let that happen. Very convenient overdose and suicide for him to save his ass and the DEA had to drop the case against him.

I think the series is very well done can wait for the next episodes. I bet old Hef is uncomfortably warm where he is residing in eternity.

how about the playmate's crime scene photos where she committed suicide on a USA flag with her pinups on the wall with "Heffner is the Devil" spraypainted in red paint?

Yeah that's right, Hefner had sex with numerous beautiful women but that wasn't "good enough" so he had sex with a poodle? Why should I believe that? Because Sondra Theodore says so, after of course Hefner is dead. Kind of hard to offer up a rebuttal under those circumstances. Geez

70's and 80's, Hefner is running Playboy, drugs are everywhere, there is no 'me too' movement or anything even close to that. Yeah, about any story probably happened and then some. Remember you had John Derek having sex with Bo Derek when she was a 17 year old actress on set and I think he was in his early 40's. That is what Hollywood was back during that time.

I don't buy the poodle story. I also don't buy that they were filmed without knowledge or consent. The mansion had cameras EVERYWHERE and everyone knew it. They weren't tiny little spy cams like we have today. That said, I definitely believe he used and abused a lot of women.

Several said that he would film them and they'd tell them they weren't comfortable with it. He'd fiddle with the camera and say "I'd never want you to do anything you were uncomfortable with". He said that you could see it on the TV but you weren't being filmed. But then the video cameras were really running. He fooled them (according to them). In addition, they had to be sober enough to know. Most were stoned out of their gords.

One said that Cosby drugged her and she woke up bleeding from anal intercourse. Several said that they had no idea what happened once they passed out.

I have no idea if it is true, specifically, but knowing what went on would be surprised it didn't happen. The Poodle? Your guess is as good as mine but I actually think less of a guy screwing a 13 year old (roman polansky) than a dog.

I don't know if it is true but I worked with a gal that went to a LA Lakers party. She drank a lot but didn't do drugs. But she passed out on the sofa. When she woke up, a guy was screwing her. This is, sadly, pretty common.

I heard rumors the FBI and CIA were involved with Playboy filming and blackmailing people. The amount of dirt gathered on people is staggering.

They refer to the FBI looking into them but don't go into much detail. maybe were Epstein learned his trade!

He made Linda Lovelace have sex with a German Shepard with other witnesses. Seems to like beastality. Other girlfriends have also stated that he liked to watch extreme porn like beastality and even snuff films! He was a sick puppy. Why would she lie. She was his girlfriend when he was at his worst from a depravity standpoint. The girlfriends when he was older said he was real dick but was so old he could barely function without massive Viagra injections and only then he was only able to perform for like two minutes.

I can believe almost anything about a man who so badly misused women throughout his life. Dance to the music and you'll pay to the piper. And I have no doubt the people who were involved in all the other porn magazines and movies were as bad or worse.

It's not shocking to see that there was excessive drinking, drug use, and promiscuous sex on the Playboy premises.

Most disturbing of what I've seen in this series is that it was the perfect environment for predators who preyed on young women, often drugged them, had sex without their consent, sometimes beat and abused them, and destroyed their pride and self-esteem.

The consequences for these predators? Virtually none. The Playboy security was set up to protect the wealthy and powerful guests, the business, and particularly Hugh Hefner. The young women were disposable and powerless.

All in all, it was an ugly scene which has been convincingly documented in the series.

My experience is, based on my wife having been a counselor on additions for many years, is that people need to get to the next "high". So if it is drugs they start with MJ and low doses and if they get addicted mentally, not always physically, the next thing you know they are ODing on meth and H. On gambling, it goes from $1 to $100k to get that next rush.

with sex, especially if you've had years of orgies with the best-looking women on the planet, you start to get kinky. Anal, BDSM, auto asphyxiation, animals, inanimate objects, gay, kids, etc. After you've done two top models and an army of movie stars, what's next? Part of it is power and getting away with it. Part of it is knowing you can do a kid or a dog and get away with it while the proletariat cannot.

Next thing you know, you get caught and it all goes away. Heff was an evil genius who cloaked abuse and human trafficking into modeling and acting opportunity (not to mention marrying or hooking up on the ride of your life with a director or actor or sports celebrity for a few months).

Elvira's autobiography tells a similar tail, not the playboy mansion but this kind of behavior.

It’s fascinating even if there are some embellishments given hh is dead and can’t comment. Given the number of different people who are interviewed I believe they are telling the truth. Very well done. Another special I enjoyed and had no idea about was the fate of the chippendales series.

I am not sure how anyone could ever respect him.

I saw him during a single interview once around the girls next door era.

It was clear he was a deranged and evil man.

People wanted to believe sex, drugs, and sleaze was somehow ok since they didn't , well you know , in the magazine.
