Anyone else entertained by Delaney's actions last year probably costing the B1G millions of dollars

OT somewhat:

I get the feeling that if Wisconsin wins Saturday night and gets into the 4, as a #4 seed, they will get waxed the same way Mich. State did a few years ago when they got in and Bama manhandled them. Kind of the same way Clemson manhandled Ohio State last year.

They are a tough team, although a very basic team, and I think their D's weaker spots would be exposed vs. a Clemson or Auburn, e.g. They will try to control the ball and the clock, but I don't see them going anywhere.

That said, I respect what they have done to this point, and they stay true to what they are good at season after season. If they beat Ohio State, they will have accomplished a terrific season at 13-0 and the B1G title... no small feat. But I think that is where it stops.
I like the Badgers chances in the payoff more than I would the Buckeyes. You know Wisconsin is limited with athletes but is hardnosed and won't give up. OSU has flat out quit twice in their last 13 games.

I hear ya. I still think a #4 Wisconsin loses by 3 scores (e.g. 31-14 or 35-17 ish) to whoever is #1.

Delaney is a Buckeye shill. The two best things for the conference last year was (1) a Michigan win over OSU, but Delaney assured a pro-OSU officiating crew would not let that happen; then (2) supporting the importance of the Big Ten Champion and PSU, but he chose to support his Buckeyes instead. Really disgusting.

It’s hilarious to me that you people continue to beat this drum. The issue last year was with WASHINGTON and not the Suckeyes. You couldn’t have a viable CFP without those scrubs last year cuz they were one of the four best teams. If Bama’s resume was any good this year, they’d be in the same position and I believe they should be there this year too despite not being in the title game.

This year, the Suckeyes aren’t one of the best 4 teams even if they win Saturday. I think Miami gets in over them if they win the ACC and I think Bama gets in over them too (by a very slim margin). What could cause trouble is if TCU wins. Then we might be subjected to another Suckeyes playoff appearance.

Thank you!!!! My God, this obsession with Ohio State last year is beyond incomprehensible. The true screw job was Washington over PSU!! Also, to compare this year to last year is apples and oranges. Different set of circumstances. Stop beating your heads against the walls, fellas.

And yes - last year two losses hurt, especially when one was by 39 points. This year, two losses is okay if they are to one of the other top teams and paired with wins against two highly ranked opponents and a conference title.

Each year will present its own set of circumstances. To expect a committee to hold rigid boundaries from year to year is ridiculous, and no one would ever put the self in that position.

Do some of the talking heads contradict themself from season to season?? Of course!! Do some national “reporters” seem to try to make a case for favorites?? Of course (looking at you Ms Dinnitch).

But all of you who are convinced that Ohio St is going to win and walk into playoff just because they are Ohio State are fatalist pessimists. And you know what? Let them in, and let them get embarrassed a second year in a row - and let Urban Meyer make the same face he always makes when things blow up in his face. Worth it!!

Now take a chill pill and ease off the throttle.

Auburn, Clemson, Oklahoma, and probably Bama are going into the CFP. Deal with it

Just my two cents. No way two teams from the same conference should be in the playoffs no matter the records, strength of schedule, eye test, blah blah blah...

The playoff should be set up to ensure there is no possibility that any of the 3 games played is a rematch of a regular season game or even conference championship game. You had one shot, that's all you get. The whole purpose allegedly is to allow teams from disparate regions of the country who don't play each other to decide on the field who's the best team. Not to see if the Auburn-Alabama matchup will have a different result in January than it did in November.

I think that sentiment may have been in play last year too. tOSU was already the anointed favorite to be in the playoff, so even though we beat them head to head and won the conference championship, some people would have complained if we played again as a #2-#3 matchup, or even in the final.
