I was glad to see how they handled game 1, admittedly against a +200 RPI type team but still solid. Most 'experts' have them near the bottom of the B1G, but I think they will outperform that. Pomeroy has us at #51 and UMBC at 282, if anyone needs a reference.

They don't look anything like any Penn State basketball team I have seen. They are athletic and long, like everyone on the floor, even with the 6 through 10 guys.

Don't get too excited. UMBC's first game was vs Penn State York Campus.

Neiderhauser looked great but he has a slender body and is likely to get pushed around by BiG C/Fs. Even so he looked stronger than I imagined. Nzeh didn't impress me. Hopefully Goodman comes along to provide backup for Neiderhauser.

Fun game, glad I went. I'm impressed with Rhodes. Looks to me like a 20-win season and a tournament bid. Fingers crossed.
