I'll be in Plainsboro NJ all week for training at Corporate. Do any of you have any recommendations for dinner in the area? I'm not looking for chains, and the more affordable the better. Dives are fine, as long as the food is legit. Thanks in advance.

Ruth's Chris Steak House and Tre Piani at Forrestal Village. Metro Grill on Alexander Road. Lots of places in Princeton nearby. I like 153 in nearby Rocky Hill a lot. Probably the best of the ones I mentioned. Downtown Princeton has many more affordable places that students and families tend to go. Mediterranean Grill is a good one right behind the Nassau Inn.

Cranbury Inn on Main Street. It's not Princeton gourmet but it has decent food and you can avoid traffic and hassle getting there and back.

You would be better served going to the Princeton area - Mediterra and Yankee Doodle Inn in Palmer Square are pretty good. If you go to Mediterra, you should definitely try the bacon wrapped dates. If you go to Yankee Doodle Inn, try the burger - good stuff.

Eno Terra is also terrific. Great selection of wine.

Now that the kids are gone for the semester, Princeton is quite a nice place to hang out.

Candela's restaurant in Lawrence Twp. It's on Lawn Park Ave off 206 as soon as you past Rider University and about 10 miles from Plainsboro. Family owned Italian cuisine. Prices are very reasonable and the food is very good. All their pasta dishes are excellent. Kenny lives near by and you might even see him there. :>)

Here's a link to their website and menu: http://www.candelapizza.com/menu.html

There are also plenty of good eating places in Princeton and if you like Middle Eastern cuisine, I would suggest Mamouns on Witherspoon St. I've eaten at their NYC and Hoboken locations . Not fancy, very reasonably priced, and different. Another place in Princeton I would recommend is Winberies in Palmer Square.

If I were ranking I would go with Candela's, then Winberies, and then Mamouns for something a little different.
