Anyone noticed that jack@ss Emmert has been silent on Free Shoes U just like when UNC broke?

Media across the nation are expressing outrage at the danger Free Shoes U has put young women in on their campus by placing these fraud-student mercenary thugs on campus, but not a peep out of the NCAA??? Even the President of Free Shoes U, Thrasher, has made a public statement, but not a peep out of that hypocrite, putz, greedy, self-interested, self-serving putz Emmert.

Other fsu students hit girls. fsu has afforded all students the opportunity to hit girls. This is not a football issue. Nothing to see here.

Lol. As long as non athletes at FSU are allowed to hit women too- then it's not an ncaa issue or concern (using Emmert's UNC standard). ;)

Precisely, the JS matter which clearly had nothing to do with gaining a competitive advantage on the field (e.g., the NCAA Rules and domain) is an NCAA matter, but UNC and Free Shoes U clearly using fraud-student mercenary thugs to gain a competitive advantage on field (again, the specific domain of the NCAA Rules) of play is not an NCAA matter??? Emmert has effectively turned the NCAA into an illegal "racketeering" and "protection" operation. What a fargging joke that this group of hypocritical scum presumes to lecture anyone about topics like integrity, principles, ethics and morals!

And you don't think he's learned his lesson or you don't think the NCAA lawyers have learned that lesson?

Truthfully? No. I don't think Emmert or the NCAA learned anything. They continue to publicly insist that they were right (despite losing in court and dropping everything).

Learned their lesson? Huh? Hey genius, they are supposed to act against academic fraud where Universities are clearly using fraudulent student-athlete mercenaries (especially when they are criminal thugs posing a further danger to the general student populace) to GAIN A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE ON THE FIELD. In other words you twit, they should have vigorously investigated UNC, and now Free Shoes U, or at least publicly comment on the situation that has required the Free Shoes U's President to make a public comment on the situation, but we haven't heard a peep from the hypocritical liars and scum at the NCAA have we???

There's no need for Emmert to get involved because he assured me and you that this wouldn't happen.

“Football will never again be placed ahead of educating, nurturing and protecting young people,” Emmert said.

I assume that includes females on and near the FSU campus so I don't know what the problem is. Nothing can be happening because Emmert said so. Case closed.

The NCAA doesn't get involved in criminal matters. Ask Emmert. He'll tell you.

The criminal investigations had zero to do with UNC and Free Shoes U clearly committing academic fraud for the purpose of using FRAUD STUDENT MERCENARIES TO GAIN A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE ON THE FIELD OF PLAY - which absolutely is the province of the NCAA Rulebook outside of the criminal investigations genius.

Yes, I know damn well what the NCAA is supposed to be policing and I know damn well that they shouldn't have pushed their nose into the civil case at PSU. They learned a huge lesson there and now they are going to make certain that they have purview on any future endeavors. They should not be poking their nose in legal matters. Their job is to police athletic cheating. That is not getting involved in policing athletes conduct where it does not affect competitive outcomes. You got that "genius"? If you weren't such a "twit", you'd know that!

Gee, and here I thought using fraud-student mercenaries (e.g., academic fraud) that have no business being on a college campus, let alone representing the University in extra-curricular activities, is cheating ("their job is to police cheating") you "twit" , you would think a "genius" like yourself would know that!

BTW, I guess your contention is that Free Shoes U had no idea that Dalvin Cook was a fraud-student mercenary criminal thug? Well gee, you would be wrong as multiple media sources have indicated that this id Cook's THIRD ALTERCATION WITH THE TALLAHASSEE POLICE DEPARTMENT since June 2014 (e.g., in a year) and he is only 19 years old! In fact, he was busted for THREATENING SOMEONE WITH A HANDGUN which is illegal in itself, but he was also brandishing a handgun without a license - a huge no-no. Something tells me if your average Free Shoes U student is busted for threatening someone with an illegal handgun (e.g., one they do not hold a license for), they are kicked out of school and asked not to return simply to protect the school's liability. Not only was Dalvin Cook not kicked out of Free Shoes U, but he was the starting RB in 2014 - go figure. Gee something tells me that 'Ole Free Shoes U treated Dalvin Cook DIFFERENTLY than they would have treated other students in the same situation simply to keep him on the football field to help win football games and that is most definitely sufficiently suspicious to look into!

emmert is the definition of an asshole. That is a stupid statement under any circumstances, but to say it with respect to Penn State, with what Joe Paterno really stood for for decades, is insanity.

The more I've read of this incident, the more shocked I am in how FSU is getting away with a double standard.

The only differences reported were 1 was a freshman (compared to a starter) and there was video released of just 1 attack (so far).

So, basically FSU appears to be saying just don't get caught on video (especially if you're not a starter). Same act. Different punishments.
