Been happily using a WD My Cloud Home since 2016. Just had to purchase a new one because WD could no longer keep it secure on the web (older hardware). So now I have the old one just for home network use, while the new one is accessible over the web.

thank you...I was just looking at that....spotty reviews but 1) it is probably dumbed down to now be techie and that pisses techies off and 2) most reviewers motivated enough to review are doing so because they are mad.
