I substitute teach now that I am retired.
At a school yesterday I was talking recruiting and gave the numbers for Zach Harrison's 100 meter dash. When asked where he was going I simply replied - hopefully, to the Happiest of Valleys.
A person in the conversation said there are so many things to be said after that answer. Same person who told me the other day you can't spell Penn State without Pacino.

I sent him all the information #ChiTown has posted in an email this morning. Here's his reply. My emphasis.

That is all interesting information. I truthfully didn't follow the case too closely, but that seems to have a lot of information that is "shady" to say the least. I had never heard of Sandusky's charity that had so much contact with troubled youth.

And, there ladies and gentlemen is the problem Penn Staters are facing. He doesn't know about The Second Mile. I seriously doubt he is the Lone Ranger on this one. What he and hundreds of thousands of others likely know is just what the media fed them.

I suspect probably 90+% of the ignoramuses out there know NOTHING of the Second Mile.

The BOT magically and incredibly turned this from a Sandusky scandle into a Paterno scandle and sacrificed Penn State’s good name, reputation, legacy and “x” number of millions of dollars to assure that JoePa would take the fall for everything. How they got away and continue to get away with this boggles my imagination.

Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. And it NEVER gets ANY better with the passage of time. It just continues, at least IMHO, to become more unbelievable.

I had a similar conversation with some family friends in Denver. When I explained that Bruce Heim gave Jerry keys to his hotel gym and pool where he continued to molest boys for years, the look I got back was complete disbelief...Speechless.

When given provable facts, people reject them because they don’t fit the media narrative.

Who did Sandusky molest at the Hilton Garden? I don’t believe any boys ever claimed they were molested there. No accusers, other than that victim 5’s easily refutable year change, claim they were victimized in the time between the McQueary episode and Sandusky’s time at central mountain

That’s the problem and the inherent issue in today’s society. It doesn’t matter what really happened. It only matters what they say on TV or through internet channels. That’s the trial. Fake news and it’s everywhere and really exposed its ugly self during the Sandusky scandal. Amazing how quickly Sandusky was charged, tried, convicted, and sentenced and Meuller still can’t conclude the Russian Colusion investigation. Why? Because he doesn’t have what the narrative says he should have and what people were told happened by our splendid media.

I watched that movie a week ago and, although my advaced age causes memory issues, I thought that the Second Mile was mentioned in the movie. Wasn't that scene where Joe is lauding Jerry set in some Second Mile function? Maybe I'm simply misremembering but, if so, maybe, despite his rather odd "can't spell Penn State without Pacino" remark, did he watch the movie?

If memory serves correct, the only attorney that didn't take the BOT's bribe of 2-3 mil, included TSM & PSU in his 'victim's' suit received 20 mil +/-.....always nice to see he underdogs win

I also think it is very shady that victims only file suit against the university and not against various business owners & TSM board members like Heim. Pretty convenient don’t you think? PSU may have been the most convenient location but at some point that access was shut down, Jerry’s proclivities did not stop and non-PSU community members continued to enable him.
