For PENN STATE FOOTBALL??????!!!!!!!!
I have been a Penn State fan since the 1970's. I have missed only a handful of home games (4) since 1994. I have blogged about Penn State since 1999 and founded the 50-yard Lion blog on Penn Live. I have never felt this good going into a game in Colmbus since we joined the Big Ten. Ever. I would have felt good in 1994 but that game was at home that year. I have not been this excited about a season since 2005 when Lloyd Carr stole one from us. (Last year was a great season but the enthusiasm wasn't high until after we beat the Buckeyes last year!)
Five years ago, the Penn State Football world fell apart. And for no legitimate football reason. To be sitting here today looking forward to this game and the rest of the season is quite simply amazing. It is a testament to the players that stood behind Penn State in its darkest hour, to the coaches that took a chance on Penn State, and to the most amazing fan base in the land.
Win or lose today (we will win) this will be one of the best seasons ever at Penn State.
We should all be proud of this program, coaches, players, and all of us fans.
