Football Army Navy Game

Not sure who is going to win, but just to make people upset, I always refer to it as the "Navy Army Game".
I generally root for the underdog or for whichever of those teams needs a win to go to a bowl.
The odd part is that Air Force (9-3) pretty much gets ignored every year and they have the better team by far this year.

Army! Son went to USMA. Rivalry is Good stuff. Went to a game at Philly. Great experience.

Real student athletes who have pledged to serve and protect this great country, what's not to like? I watch the game every year.
Air Force has been consistently better than Army and Navy for a while.
Tradition is a hell of a thing to break, especially one involving the armed forces.
I’ve had three former players who have been either running backs or slot backs for each team in this game. All great kids, who I also taught in calculus, and nothing more intense than a close fourth quarter of this game for those kids.
These are the best kids in America having at it. Unfortunately the lack of athletic ability especially at the skill positions is obvious.
Navy has had more astronauts in space then the other academies.

One team has a Nike logo on their uniform and the other has an Under Armour logo. IMO, Army, Navy and Air Force should not have the logo of a private company. For that matter the argument could be made that no public school should have a private company logo, but especially Army and Navy.
Yes, one would expect Air Force to be in the lead. The new Space Force has cadets enrolled at the AF Academy but don’t know how they will be counted in the future.
My dad followed the same path ending up in Germany.
Kids in the Purdue hoops student section were wearing astronaut helmets at their home game the other night. Apparently they have a ton of them too. UCF plays up their proximity to Cocoa and Satellite Beach...their k8ds had NASA stuff on at a late season football game too.
FWIW my old man was a Marine. I was raised to root for Navy. But a close family has had 3 kids at West Point- including my son's longest friend. He just got home after 6 m9nths as a tank commander in Lithuania prepping to go into Ukraine.
Last one is a senior this year. Many great times at West Point over the past 10 years for games. I too have taught kids at both schools. Two years ago I had 6 kids at USMA/ 1 at USNA.
Proud USAA lifetime member based on my dad's Captain rank. Please forgive me from heaven pops... but I root for Army now.

Mine too. Practically from the first day of the war until the end. 601st tank destroyer battalion.
Ahh, too recent for my connection. My ties were only up through 2011. I'm sure I personally know some of the professors they had who are still actively instructing courses or heading departments.
Have a friend whose father was in a U.S. tank battalion. Three times he climbed out of a tank that was destroyed. Pretty amazing as few rarely escape one.
