What worries me most is Pedro at 1st base, but....fear not....this is the year!

Re: Hell , didn't we win a Series with Dick Stewart at 1st base ?** .

This could be worse. Well, maybe that's a reach.

Stuart made 14 errors in 1960. Bill Skowron of the Yankees made 12. ***

Yes, and it seems to me those are generally much worse. But, while I worry

a bit about Pedro, nothing can stop the Pirates from their World Series destiny!

Skowron played 1200 innings, Stuart 913.**

zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

And Skowron played in both All Stars games that year. The point is, while

Stuart was a liability at 1st base, he did not have a bad year fielding in 1960. By comparison, the following year he had 21 errors, and later in his career, with Boston in 1963 and 1964, he had 29 and 24 errors, respectively.
