Articles for Monday ...

This quote was from the Altoona Mirror article. Anybody that was there, know what Storniolo is talking about?

“It’s good to come back and compete in an environment like this because not every match can be in a comfortable setting, and this is probably about as hostile as it gets. I wish some of these fans would remember that I did wrestle here and I never lost a match in this gym and I was Big Ten Freshman of the Year for this program. It was kind of disappointing to hear some of the things they had to say to me,”

Anyone know why Matt Storniolo transferred to Oklahoma after wrestling for PSU his freshmen year?

Whoa. Not cool, rogue douche fan(s)!

Still, I'm interested in any knowledgeable posters' takery on Storniolo, as a person.

As a wrestler, at Nationals:

2004, PSU, 8-seed. Lost in R2 to US David Dies of Brown, then to 7-seed Jeremy Spates of Mizzou in the R12

2005, OU, 4-seed. Lost to Michigan's 5-seed Eric Tannenbaum in the Qtrs, then to Hofstra's 9-seed Jon Masa in the consi qtrs, then beat 10-seed Mark DiSalvo of CMU for 7th.

2006, OU, 4-seed. Lost to Minny's #1 Schlatter in the semis, avenged vs 6-seed Masa in the consi semis, then lost to 3-seed Esposito of OKST for 4th.

2007, OU, 2-seed. Lost to Indiana's US Matt Coughlin in R2, then to App State's 7-seed Scott Ervin in the R16.
